Like I said, its more of a mental battle for him. He was so used to scoring 30ppg+. He didnt take his body getting old too well, in the head. But he can easily be a 20-10 pg if he works up to it

Yeah, he just needs to accept his new role, and not try to be the 30ppg+ AI from 2000s. Just like Kobe needs to be the assist king at LA, instead of scoring

He doesn't take advice, coaching, or somebody telling him what to do very well. Has nothing to do with getting old.

No way he could be a 20 ppg now in NBA. How did he do in China or wherever he last played.

There are many 6 foot 6 people on the street, but most of them are not basketball players. There is difference between hard work and no-work.

And no, you can't make your AI to 6'6. It is only in your fantasy. Your IF-statement makes no sense.

That is you assuming....we don't know what Iverson would play like if he was 6'6... He could be slower, have weaker handles, and so on... It is a what if situation and obviously by no means certain that he would be as good as Jordan.

So you think without playing in the NBA in three or four years he would average more points now than he did in his last season? He would average 10 assists? He never did that once in his career....

He would take less shot. More of a facilitator role. He has the athleticism to still get doubled, and at that point just pass it out. I watched AI play at Besiktas in 2011, hes still got a sick croxover.

09 was so far back that Brandon Roy was a all-star.

I just find it extremely unlikely he would average 20and 10.... He has never done that in his career and now after not playing at a NBA level for basically three years he would post those numbers?

No player in the league right how is averaging 20 and 10 I believe... But AI would? I feel like you're being very bias.

Yeah, we should start an online petition for him to come back! Itll only be a matter of time from D league to NBA

He is one of my favorite players...I grew up watching him play. On the court he was awesome...off the court he was a big a$$hole. He has nobody but himself to blame for not playing in the NBA right now.

He could have been much better then he was if he took the game seriously off the court. He had so much wasted talent. I knew he would turn down the offer, he doesn't want to end his career in the D-league. He is actually missing out on big money overseas by trying to get back in the NBA. Next year will be his last shot to get invited to camp.
This is too bad.

I was hoping to see Iverson again in the NBA but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I hated to see how his career just faded away at the end.

I don't know why there are many posts today that you can poke fun off. 20/10 is like Tim hardaway in prime time. I know AI career is better than Tim, but saying that AI at 37 can get 20/10 is just crazy. AI gets 10/5 is more likely.

Iverson isn't a point guard. He is a shooting guard. He doesn't pass the ball.

I thought he was a combo guard, but I agree with your statement that he doesn't pass much, he still had average assists though
