Call me crazy because I know everyone always complains about the dunk contest (rightfully so last year) and the game because it's a no defense high scoring deal until the 4th if it stays close, but honestly I love it!
It's actually a Saturday Night I block out, at least the early part and crack some brews and see what happens. I still feel like a little kid when a sick dunk goes down in the contest and recently with the Dwight Howard, Nate Robinson, Blake Griffin contests, they have been good! The 3 Point contest is also a fun one and whether you bet, watch for fun or dream about being there in the contest yourself, its a good night or nights to enjoy how far bball has come!!! I predcit James White wins the dunk contest btw and Steph Curry for the wins in the big competitions!

I always try to watch the celebrity all star game. It's so entertaining, especially with what Kevin Hart did last year lol.

Last night looked like 1989. When did florescent colors make a comeback? (my eyes are still recovering)
Russell Westbrook looked like a clown. Harden...come on buy a suit the appropriate size. Bonner for the win! Slam dunk contests are lame. No interest here.

He has a severe case of being a stand up comic, which for some reason forces some people to act like a 5 year old starving for attention at all times. Oh yeah, and he's not funny. |

i half agree with this, in standup, i think he's pretty funny. but he does have that trying too hard constantly deal during the allstar stuff. lots of forced laughs by the announcers.

I knew some people that were stand-up comics and they were the same way. No matter where we were they would be telling jokes and trying to be the center of attention all the time. It's definitely some sort of complex |

oh yea no question some of the best comics of recent times were very troubled people, look what happened to richard jeni!? greg giraldo? lots overdosed or had drinking or drug problems, richard pryor and a whole bunch of comic legends.
kevin hart might have little man's complex or could have had a rough upbringing, i don't know much about the guy. but i do know he's talented but tries too hard.

But anyway I'm pumped, I see evne on yahoo sports, their is an article about is the dunk contest needed anymore, has it lost its luster, give me a break! If we get rid of the dunk contest (again) might as well get rid of the home run derby, the pro bowl, any all star game... the NBA still has the most entertaining all star weekend by far and I like all 3 major sports (sry hockey). We liked watching Andre Iguodala, Nate Robinson, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin etc. Now because we had one dud last year we should get rid of it? Should we get rid of the home run derby if one year they don't have someone crush the ball? It's ridiculous, everyone needs to enjoy or turn the channel! I sir, will enjoy, I think this year will be great with James White Terrence Ross a solid 3 point lineup!

I think the contest NEEDS its stars in it to be great. There's guys in there that barely see the court and that makes people not even care about them. It might as well be a D-league contest or a random one with anyone invited. I think the fans should get to vote on the participants and if the player declines than they get fined and have to deal with letting the fans down. Doing the dunk contest should be an honor, not a burden |

I already told you James White is going to win, why does anyone ever question my judgment
