Default Lakers Celts talking Howard for Rondo deal

Just heard on radio here in Boston that Celts and Lakers are talking Howard for Rondo.
We all know Danny is a gambler. I can see him going all in this season. I guess Howard is a fan Doc. So maybe if he likes it here he resigns.
Not sure how Rondo fits in LA with Nash next year. I guess Nash is good insurance if his knee takes a good season to heal next year. Seems most guys it takes a good full 2 years before they get back to normal after ACL.

It's not happening, I heard talks died at least 2-3 days ago, the report just came out though.

Never
Going
to
Happen

Not to mention, its impossible for the Celtics to even out the money without giving up 2-3 guys when they only have 10 active ones.

Probably have to get a third team in the mix.

You know Danny will be doing something big in trades.

Also 98.5 reporting Garnett to the Clips may be back on.

Danny will not be doing something big in trades.

8-1 in the last 9, 5 games behind the Knicks, Rondo with only a partial ACL tear.

No need to blow it up

rondo is not a franchise player, excellent second man but not someone who is going to lead a team to a title. i would rather have a happy/healthy dwight to lead my team. if they trade dwight, it needs to be for a solid center.

Regardless of your view on Rondo, I happen to disagree, you can not argue that Howards value has tanked and what you get for him wont be as much as you think hes worth.

Hes hurt, hes whiney, he hasnt mixed in with arguably the best PG since Magic, hes a free agent, he has no idea what hes doing next year and any team that trades for him wont get a guarantee he stays.

I wouldnt do Rondo for Howard, not without a contract extension, because Rondo AT THIS VERY MOMENT is more valuable than Howard and the circus that hes about to unleash when he becomes a FA.

what would gaurantee dwight would be happy or healthy, let alone both? Since he has such a history of leading a team to a title and all

Dwight would need to sign in season to be guaranteed the most money if he was traded to the Celtics or any team.

He waits and does a sign and trade, he loses a year and 30$ million.

Too risky for him and any team acquiring him if he wont sign asap. And since he has the decision making process of a 12 year old girl, I dont think its likely he signs

he did lead a terrible magic team to the finals, those three hall of famers (allen, garnett and pierce) led the celtics to the two finals they were in

If Howard was to sign an extension I would do it if I am the celtics. I think Rondo is a great PG. For sure he is top 5. Where he is in the five can be argued. Howard is the best center in the NBA when healthy. That being said I don't see an actual deal happening.

Screw it why not, if the Celtics add a few more pieces to sweeten the deal, maybe the Lakers should dump Dwight Howard on them.

It's starting to look like the best player out of the whole Dwight-Bynum trade, was Earl Clark, and I would take Earl Clark over Bynum any day.
