Problem is Jordan never won a championship with a dominant big man. He made those players into stars.

DWade won a ring without lebron....Wade and Bosh are both established stars in the NBA, So If Lebron wins 6 rings with this team, You still have to take Jordan based on the players he played with. Now as for saying the Greatest of all time, it's tough to say, obviously you can't evaluate by rings because there are players with more ring than Jordan that weren't as good. Lebron IMO will be better than Jordan stat wise, he will never ever have the same monatary effect to the world and the NBA as Jordan had. Jordan made so much money for the US the city of Chicago, the NBA...He'll always be the face of the NBA, whether someone passes him or not.

Also if Lebron wins 6 rings and 6 finals mvps how ' memorable' are those finals? I can count at least 5 or 6 special plays or moments in mj's 6 finals....only moment I can think of during Lebron's finals is when he did his punching bag thing with Wade against the Mav's.

Kobe had a silver spoon since day one of his nba career.

Greatness is measured in FINALS MVPs, its shows the one that carried the team to the championship.

Shaq has 3 of Kobe's 5, go figure.

It doesnt matter if Lebron wins 1 or 7 rings. He will never overtake MJ as the greatest player of all time simply because people just wont admit it.

And I still dont understand the whole argument that he left to go to a more talented team.

Do u discredit the championships the Lakers won simply because they had a team with 3-4 HOFs? (Magic, Kareem, Worthy)

At the end of the day, championships are won by teams with great players leading them.


And people should really stop throwing in Horry, Fisher and all these guys with multiple rings as arguments.

Jordan is just perfect and you see tons of epic plays and clutch shots from Jordan years after. But after lebron retires with his 8 rings you replay Lebron's game you see him driving to the rim for a layup after 5 steps and drawing a foul to win a game...
To pass MJ Lebron gets too much to prove.

True, but in 1994-95 the Bulls were struggling and were in danger of missing the playoff until Jordan came back. That second year they just weren't the same.

I dont think it is about how many titles one wins. Sure one would be great but most of it should be about how well they perform with their team. Do they make continuous playoff appearances? Do they do well most of the time? If so I think thats a pretty good career right there
