I remember what Charles said at the end of the contest was so true..

If Jordan, Dr. J, Dominique Wilkins could do it, why can't Lebron do it, why can't Blake do it more than once?
It's on some level arrogant on their parts, thinking that they're too 'high' for having an appearance in the contest. I understand that maybe they don't want to risk injury, don't want to risk face and maybe even want to let other guys give it a go.

But for what the fans do for these guys, paying their salaries, spending 100s to put their names on their backs, cheering for them, caring for them, the least they could do is show it back to some level to the fans.

This SD contest blowed, they need to either get some stars in it or change up the format big time.

Lebron said he is a great in game dunker, and not a dunk contest kinda dunker.

Its just another reason for people to take a jab at him that's all.

Only appreciate what he hasn't done, instead of appreciate what he has done.

I think it's about time to replace the dunk contest. I know it would NEVER happen, but I'd love to see some sort of one on one tournament. The major problem is that none of them would participate for fear of losing face.

Stars just won't do it. Lebron said he would so it one year and then backed out. All of us would love to see him in it.

All I'm saying the way they were scoring white should have gotten a 50 for his first dunk.

Two handed from one foot inside the ft line.

On the 30th try. No way that gets a 50. Jr smith did that like 5 years ago and on the first try I think?

Ok, so you're saying he should get points taken away for missing a bunch, but at the same time White should have gotten a better score even though he missed a bunch also?

the first dunk white missed a one handed attempt from the ft line. he then tried again and did a two handed dunk from one foot inside.

that is completely different then trying 6 times on the same dunk and then finally getting it. especially when its already been done and done better.

Charles made a good point. All these stars in the past have done the contest, but now people don't seem to be interested. At least Griffin did it once. I wish Lebron would have entered like he said he would. He could have brought back a lot of excitement. Even Durant could do pretty well I bet. Even if they don't win but enter the competition tons of more people would be excited. It's too bad these stars don't want to look bad of they do lose, even though many fans just wish they would enter.

You can't blame these guys for making the dunk contest suck. There are no more dunks to be made. Everything is a repeat!

I just showed you a better version of the dunk. Isn't that what you wanted?

Maybe most people in the dunk contest just don't consider a two handed dunk from a foot inside the free throw line to be a worthy dunk.

Clearly White didn't either considering his initial dunk attempt was different but when he couldn't do that he went for an easier dunk
