So you once again mention Bill Russell, and then post this. Pretty sure I've only seen a WillC thread WANTING Russell (and other players) not selling them. But what you say goes around here, isn't that right...

WHy do people feel the need to derail a thread about Prizm? Just because you arent selling it and making bank on it while trying to sell it, doesnt mean you have to derail a positive thread on Prizm. Im sure if you had a bunch for sale, this would be one of many threads right?

REmember when the haters said this product would tank?

Check out how much the Kyrie golds have been selling for..

I like Prizm Gold RC's and second year cards best:

prospects Need 2 more, then I'm done buying these beauties!
I buy these to buy, but when I do sell, they will all sell for more then I bought them for. Drooling for Select to get released, so I can buy some matching auto Golds!!!!!

in my short time in the hobby

never understood why people cry and moan about products

if you don't like it, dont buy it and stay quiet, no reason to hate on it.

Ahh I see 'deflection' is in order... it's everyone else trying to 'derail' or whatnot, rather than try to answer the hypocracy...

I really don't see Kyrie's base cards climbing to $50 or $40 or even $30 for that matter. He would have to be an MVP to get that high.

Steve Nash chrome rookies sell for $15-$20

Chris Paul sells for around $10

Wade sells for around $10

And those guys are absolute studs! Sure you have Kobe, Lebron and Rose chromes selling very high, but those are ridiculously good players (Rose yet to be determined)

Even Westbrook chromes sell for $5 and he's a very good guard on a very good team.

I thought at under $9 these were a good investment and that looks to be true, but I think they are close to their peak right now to be honest, unless Kyrie ends up being THE best point guard in the league

I don't know, I mean Rose won MVP, that was huge for sales. I don't see Kyrie winning an MVP soon with Lebron and Durant playing the way they are.

Not to mention Cleveland would have to improve greatly. I think $20 is about the max for these

Not much for current NBA product but I did get 2 boxes of Prizm for fun and think they did a great job with the product.

Not everyone can afford a $500 pack, hell, if I'm dropping that kinda coin on a pack its going to be an 86-87 fleer pack all day long. Prizm is priced perfectly for what it is, has some very pricey potential hits and a great rookie class. The set is actually really good looking too. I have a feeling the hobby embraced it because it is a back to basics approach. Sure there are those that love the ultra high end but for most this product was a home run. I think it will do well over time.

I think Prizm is doing so well because basketball collectors really miss the Topps Chrome product. Prizm is a good alternative to Chrome so buyers are eating it up. It's good to see a product hot in basketball since Panini is the only producer of basketball cards now.

I think it pushes the collector to collect again. HOnestly, when was the last time you saw this many people trying to build base sets? Even in Chrome we didnt see people or atleast this many people gunning to build a base set.

WIth Prizm its heavy trading, buying and selling. Coupled with affordable busting wax, it made for a great product.

Tho I can see how it has many enemies. It took attention away from Exquisite collector as they needed the attention to hype sales in order to move inventory. Fortunatly for the collectors, fresh product meant not having to pay pumped up prices proclaimed by those who hoarded the inventory and pitched the sales pitches!

NT might knock Prizm down a bit, but as has been said, it's kind of a different market.

NT comes out so late in the season that it usually masks next years product. But the price point send it into a different class of busters and collectors. Not everyone can afford a $4000 Kyrie Rc. But at $20, a prizm kyrie is affordable for everyone without setting them back on budget.

My top 5 picks for this year in ranked order.

1. Prizm
2. NT
3. Select
4. Preferred
5. Certified

Preach brotha man, preach! I came to this forum and was like really pumped to find a place to talk about cards, bc the average person in my life give only about an 1/8 of a Sh!t about them. But when i got here, and I have met some awesome people, the majority of the threads have like a "cooler" in them that is there to bring everything down. Then you have the "don't post in this section people" and then you have the "I'm right and your wrong people" its seriously unreal... we have a lot of problems in our world... one of them is our baseball card forums.
