he is the only seller that I know can get $20 for a Kyrie Prizm rookie while 10 others sit at $14 BIN below it. I wish I had skills like that to sell!!

This always boggled my mind as well ... Maybe he includes a $20 bill with every shipment?

I was just about to make a tread on this. I've got 2 of those redemptions and have been watching closing prices. No way that's a $400+card, LOL

Agreed - they went from selling around 100-125 then all disappeared, then price went to around 200, now there are few around again.

Could be a $400 card if they ever make them and they are low print run - if it's less than 75, that could be a $1,000 BGS 9.5

though not as likely to be intentional, these redemption cycles manipulate the market as much as any shill bidding.

think about it, and let's use kyrie limited as an example just so i dont have to say Card A:

1. Limited comes out, people pull Kyrie

2. A bunch of Kyrie auto redemptions are on ebay, making more available and keeping price relatively low.

3. Redemptions are redeemed, and so even though these cards will eventually exist just as they always have, they are tied up and unavailable.

4. Only a few start to show up after all others have been redeemed. These are the only ones available in the marketplace, and the perceived scarcity causes the prices to rise even though once the redemptions are returned there will be just as many for sale/trade as before

5. Live cards come out and obviously sell for more than redemptions, but price floor will usually start where the previous redemptions sold - i.e. inflated price due to so many being tied up in the redemption process.

am i off here? cant panini just kind of string this along and then release a Knight's Lance eventually touting the HUGE value of their products? wouldnt it help them to wait for only 2-3 of the Kyrie LImited autos to be left unredeemed, and then they could release the live autos only after a few HUGE sales?

im not saying that panini is doing this intentionally by any means, but the process doesnt really seem to hurt them that much in the end - instead it makes their products seem more valuable.

i don't get bigboyd, i see his stuff on ebay all the time and i refuse to bid on them. seems really shady with these made up prices. with all the little annoying rats on this forum, i don't know how anyone hasn't told ebay about this guy. he'll have a SP card that doesn't book and put $2200. How is that allowed?

Why are you so negative towards prizm?

IF any cards sells over $10, its not legit?

According to this forum, Kyrie is highly collected and speculated. Thats why he is talk of the town. His play definitely helps. We go through this every year. 1 guy always takes off and has everyone talking. It just happens to be prizm and kyrie for 2013.

All of his "Book Value" Prices are over what the value actually is (Even in terms of Price Guide Value) ... I'm curious what "Book" he is using ???
