How about lebron offer 5 million to charity to have an old foggey dunk contest. Dr. J, jordan, dominique, larry nance, spud, etc.

It could be a tribute to the old school. Lol

Carter and Kobe are too old to do a dunk contest now.

I want to see Griffin, Lebron, Iguodala, maybe Westbrook? No gimmicks, no props. Just old school dunking.

Don't get me wrong, Magic's got plenty of cash, but let's put this in perspective (assuming Magic's got 500 million in the bank as someone else posted), if you've got $500K in the bank are you just going to go out and drop 10K on getting someone to enter a contest? 1K on the other hand seems a lot more reasonable.

I'm not sure there's many extremely wealthy people who would regard $10 million as "chump change".

Thanks, I'm aware of what a philanthropist is. I'm not sure giving someone a large sum of money to go in a dunk contest really applies, however.
