Default Prizm Gold Out of Hand!

Was just reading I think Orangejello's thread and I saw some sale prices... I went to check and WTF!? Arnett Moultrie 150? Fab Melo 120!? This is nuts, and it just gets nuttier!!! I have a bunch of these golds, is it worth holding til say next year when some fo these guys get a better shot with more minutes or is this a sell now before NT thing?

Fab Melo would sell for $50 if his name was John Smith.

Rookie golds and top star players will hold there value .Depending on there performance .No matter what product comes out.
Topps chrome has done this for years even thought exq and nt have been around since 03-04

First rule of selling = take the money and run.

If you can make a profit you take it and move onto the next card, box, or whatever. Is it worth it to hold the card for two more years to see it possibly go up another $50?

Think about it this way.... You buy a card for $50 and can sell it now for $100 or in two years for $150. Do you think you would be able to take that $50 profit and turn it into more then $100 over the course of two years? The answer for me is an easy yes.

yea that probably is the right advice, just so tempting to hold a guy like Enes Kanter for when he finally gets a chance to start in this league!

I wonder what I could get for these as a lot now? I bought a Terrence Jones Gold for $66.00, sold it for $150.00, used another $200.00 in profits and bought the Knight 9.5. paid well under $1,000.00 for the lot of 5 (4 out of 5 are playing very well).
I'd rather have another 10 of these, then one Damian Lillard or Irving Gold.

P.S. I'm getting them all graded too! I hope for 9.5's and maybe a 10!!! Kanters are probably $250-$300 cards now after his 23/22 game. Burks sells for $200.00 now.

With a guy like Kanter you might want to hold it as he is a player with a lot of upside. Thats a card that could be worth $1K in two years. But for all the minor stars and retired guys, I would def be selling now.

i agree that kanter has good upside but will these golds be that big a deal in a couple of years? i moved mine as i think the pricing has a lot to do with temporary excitement and hype. but maybe i moved them too soon, idk

Thinking about the gold I have off the top of my head I think this is my list:

Wroten- I see no point of moving now, you never know and I'd get maybe what $35-60?
Kanter- The hardest one for my to move as I think he and Derrick Favors are the biggest wasted talents there are.
Darius Morris- Not sure, on an old Lakers team with aging guards especially
Kyle Singler- Thinking of moving now with Monroe and Drummond and even Knight the future there
Kareem Abdul Jabbar MVP- Beautiful Card but probably a sell now
James Harden USA- IN the PC, hopefully never moving

So in a nutsack, I mean nutshell, I see Singler, and Jabbar coming to a thread near you.

You should sell the Morris and get $70.00-$100.00 for it. I'd buy the Wroten off of you right now for $50.00. Sell Singler get $90.00-$120.00 for it. Sell Jabbar to, but keep everyone else, but like I said, sell the Wroten to me for $50.00!!!

Hahaha see thats my point, for $50 bucks I'd rather keep a guy like that he looked good the few times he got minutes.
