Default 2013 Panini black boxes

These are now selling for around $500 on ebay.
You think these will continue to go up or do you think once select comes out next week they will go down?

They'll continue to rise once Select comes out and people realize the green prizm versions in the Summit boxes are NOT promo cards, but rather the ACTUAL hobby select green prizms for the true Select set.

The hobby boxes/cases will not contain any green prizms, they were all released in these black boxes...they don't have any special stamping or anything, they ARE part of the actual Select set.

Not many people realize this yet ... everyone thinks their some sort of 'promo' type card ...

So can anyone tell me how panini distribute the box? Like anyone that goes by their booth can get one? Or you have to own a store or regularly order from them? Seemed like there are hundreds of these that were given away so just curious in case I go next year.

Just bought a Tobias Harris #10/15 Prizm Green, for $15.99. Good or No? I don't care if the boxes go down or not! LOL!

There are 525 total black summit boxes

Panini gave them out to the dealers that sold boxes

I believe each registered attendant of the Summit got one free. I don't think they are worth buying at that price. Some of the 1/1s aren't autographed so it's a big gamble to open. Of course, if you can flip it, even better. I think the Summit Selects will sell well now but I think down the road they'll cool down.

Have to be a store owner, distributor or a invited guess of a owner or distributor. Each attendee was given 1 black box after Panini had their address that lasted for around 45 mins.

If they're only available through the Black Box promotion and not available in packs, how are they not promos? Just because they don't say "Promo" on them doesn't mean that's not what they are.

They're technically a promo, since they are not included in the regular set, only available in the black boxes. But they do not have the summit stamp, so they hold more value than if they did have the summit stamp.

The only parallels listed on the checklist are prizm, gold and black. The greens are nothing more than promo cards.

I would agree that they're promo cards at this point. They're not included in the checklist on the Panini site.

Also, no Jimmy Butler, no care.

Has anyone ever see the 2012 checklist? I still can't find the checklist for the past and present prime 1/1's.

I didn't realize there is a TON OF football in this Not very good odds at getting a B-ball card.

The Panini Absolute Team Tandems are cool. That Kobe will prob be the only version that has a stamp since the regular version were not printed by error.

Anyone who has posted saying they are promo cards and I am wrong .... well, I still think I'm right here ...

2012/13 Panini Select Basketball Checklist

Base Set
Parallel Cards:

Prizm
Gold Prizm - Serial #/10
Green Prizm - Serial #/10 - (Industry Summit Boxes Only)
Black Prizm - Serial #1/1

Summit Boxes Only ... but still part of the Select set itself

I guess we'll see what Panini releases as their checklist, but I think the doubters will be surprised when these are NOT noted as 'summit promo cards' like you all think they are.

But heck, that's fine with me if you think that way ... keeps the prices cheap for the lowest serially #d cards in this set other than the 1/1s
