Yes seriously. You think Jordan never hit game winners when he was double-teamed?

And again, the star players get double teamed often throughout games, but they still put up good numbers.

I'm not saying Lebron should ALWAYS take the last shot in games, just that I'd like to see more aggressiveness from him in those situations

Any shot taken when you are double and tripled team is lower percentage shot than when going 1 on 1.

Lebron doesn't get doubled team as much as you would think, and when he is he drives, sucks in the defense and kicks it out.
He doesn't fight through a double team, its what makes him so deadly, he is a willing, pin point passer

Its why All the 3 point shooters have increased FG%s this season, wide open 3s

But then again Lebron is so much more of a killer since last year's playoffs. He is demanding the ball now and making the clutch shots.

So that's a thing of the past

Eh, one season doesn't change that. Let's wait to see him continue doing it going forward before we say that's a thing of the past

Whatever leads to a win, that's more killer instinct than anything

People who have attempted to "study" the clutch abilities of top players say LeBron's ranks only behind Jordan. IMO, LeBron is more a victim of his own kindness.... he wants people to think he is taking the shot, then makes it more likely by giving it to a teammate.

Except for 2010, he has put up MONSTROUS games in important situations. With Cleveland and with Miami. As for what happened in 2010... well, there are theories, but he definitely shrank and there is no arguing with that. I'd say that one year was a fluke, though.

Okay let's see some stats.

You act like Jordan never passed up a last second shot even if double teamed.

Aren't you a bulls fan? Don't you remember the Steve Kerr game winner?

Very ironic.

He gets all upset when I was discussing Kobe and reports me for trolling yet does the same thing in every Lebron thread. Double standard strikes again.

Let me know when Lebron can outscore a whole team by himself for 3 quarters.

People tend to forget Kobe was a stuck on the bench his first 2 seasons. Here's a list of the 20,000 point scorers and how many games they needed.

1. Wilt Chamberlain: 499 Games
2. Michael Jordan 620 Games
3. Oscar Robertson 671 Games
4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 684 Games
5. Elgin Baylor 711 Games
8. Lebron James 726 Games
16. Kobe Bryant 811 Games

yes a lot of people have either forgotten or purposefully ignore that fact. anyway, youngest doesn't matter. it's fastest that counts ... and nobody is remotely close to wilt

You take away from every possible accomplishment Lebron has done.
Must have eaten you when Lebron won a ring last year

Youngest does matter, but because Lebron is, it "doesnt matter"

I was curious, so I crunched some numbers.

Kobe reached 20,000 points in 29,374 minutes of playing time
Lebron reached 20,000 points in 28,916 minutes of playing time.

So essentially Lebron beat Kobe by 458 minutes or at 38 minutes a game, 12 games.

Pretty amazing how close they were together when breaking it down that way.

For reference sake, Jordan did it in 23,992 minutes. So at 38 minutes a game, he beat those other guys by about 130 games!

Lebron hit 20,000 while still dishing out 5,000 assists and 5000 rebounds :-)

You want fast?

There are only 11 players in NBA history with 20,000 points, 5,000 rebounds, and 5,000 assists.

Here is list of the players with this on their resume, and how many games it took:

Oscar Robertson 673
Larry Bird 806
Jerry West 841
Michael Jordan 926
John Havlicek 1,012
Clyde Drexler 1,046
Kobe Bryant 1,070
Kevin Garnett 1,236
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 1,257
Gary Payton 1,296
Karl Malone 1,419

Getting there in 726 games, the second fastest in NBA history
