Too bad they still aren't on the streak. He could easily get 50+ tonight but doubt he gets enough minutes.

Lebron is not doofis tall, they won't leave him in the game 68 out of 48 minutes, and he's not allowed to stand right next to the hoop for more than 3 seconds...... was a different time back then, and today it just couldn't be done, unless the player is not human, which I think Lebron IS!

Damn....the bad thing is that since the Heat are up by so much Lebron doesn't really have to go back in.

I'm going to say it right now...since the streak is over and the Heat have secured the #1 seed in the East...

I would LOVE to see Lebron do something amazing tonight

He's definitely got the talent to put up 60+, it just comes down to whether they leave him in long enough and whether or not he stays aggressive. The end of that Bulls game he was showing some drive I've never seen in him, it's GREAT to see!

Both offensive and defensive 3 seconds has been a rule since 1936, not sure what you're talking about.

are you sure about defensive 3 second being in since 36? I thought that was 10 or less years ago?

EDIT:2001 IS WHEN THEY STARTED THE DEFENSIVE 3 SECONDS

Ok, my fault on that one.... but we still have the crazy doofis tall, and playing EVERY minute. While these days they'll sit them down if they have a violent sneeze. But many rules have been changed from Wilt's time to now.

Sun Sports showed an interesting graphic.

When the Lakers 33 game winning streak was finally snapped, they lost 5 out of their next 6 games.

After the Rockets 22 game winning streak was snapped, they lost 4 out of their next 5 games.

Hopefully, the Heat don't fall into the same stat....and this game is a must win for them.

The last thing they would want is to have 2 straight losses going into San Antonio.

Anyways, as long as the Heat have a healthy lead, I don't think Lebron will do something spectacular.

And IF the Heat are up by more than 20 points going into the 4th, he probably shouldn't play.

2001? I could have sworn there was some sort of rule keeping Mikan out of the paint aside from the extreme physicality. I guess you learn something new every day.

Yes, because we love and enjoy this sport, doesn't mean that we must know EVERYTHING about it.... sometimes we hear things wrong, and never go the extra step to look into it. But that doesn't mean that some people who like the sport less can come along, read every single thing, and pretend their poop don't stink!

But yes, you learn new things every day in life.

28 pts at halftime is a career high for a first half for him
