Default Jazz back in the playoffs

Wow so close in the West.

Jazz just got back in. These last nine games are going to be crazy for the Jazz, Lakers and Dallas

I would have loved to see Portland in the playoffs though, but Aldridge is injured

Just glad the Jazz own the tie breaker against both teams. But I will be surprised if we end up in the playoffs. Jazz had their chance earlier in the season to move up alot of spots with their January month( I think they went 11-2 something like that), but besides staying hot and rolling, they play the typical Utah Jazz ball and slip down. Where is Stockton and Malone when you need them?

I dunno, with Nash and Bryant hurt, that makes things rough.

Based on their respective schedules, I will give the nod to Utah. Tiebreakers will not be needed, they will win by 1 or 2 games. I think Dallas and the Lakers will end up w/ the same record tied for 9th.

Before that, the had lost 12 of 15. 9 of the 12 losses were on the road, Dallas and Cavs the only two teams not in the playoffs. As for the other 3 losses, they were all at home against playoff teams from the East. Arguably, one of the tougher stretches any team has endured this year.

But, they now have a favorable schedule going forward.

Gotcha. I haven't really followed them that closely. Just everytime the lakers lost I would look and it seemed the jazz lost.

The Nets need a break from the Colorado air! And a healthy Joe Johnson wouldn't hurt.

Nets are a 7-8 seed at best without Joe Johnson. Not worth his money, but not a bum by any means like some make him out to be.

Brook and CJ played well tonight. If the Bench Mob can return to early season form, they will be alright

was a weird game. it was utah's night. when those shots at the end started falling circus style, you knew they would win.

going to be very tough to win the division now 5 losses back with 11 to go...they'd need to win out and the knicks play 500 ball basically...

Yea, Knicks are taking the Atlantic. Winning the division would've been sweet, but I'm just so happy the Nets are back in the playoffs!
And I don't want to see the Lakers make the playoffs, so a Jazz win tonight helped that

yeah man, i definitely feel you - its great for NY basketball. They might end up getting the more favorable match up if they get the hawks too! but the second round........thats when you get the team no one wants to see...but i have faith in the nets! they could make a series with miami if healthy...

but yes i DEFINITELY am with the bold part of your statement!

please have the lakers be in, the jazz or blazers have no chance, like zero chance of beating anyone

Have you seen the lakers play lately?? Besides I have some friends that are former bulls in the 90s fans turned lakers fans that I wouldn't mind giving it to if the lakers missed the playoffs . Blazers might win more games in a series against okc than lakers...

im no lakers fan but i think if they somehow got their ish together theyd have a shot against a san antonio... probably not the thunder or a young team like denver if it got to that. but miami, spurs, memphis... lakers got a shot bc they have size.

They have no shot. It will be the Spurs, possibly the Thunder. Nuggets won't get to the #2 spot, and Lakers have no shot at getting to #7. Given the Lakers are a combined 0-6 against the Heat, Spurs and Grizzlies, I can see how you think theyu have a shot

Come on man, I am aware the Nuggets wouldn't be a first round team, but are you really trying to compare this Lakers team in the last month and a half to the Lakers we saw for most of the year? Kobe is playing out of his mind, Dwight has been much better and Pau is back. To think that bc they had regular season issues that they can't make a playoff run is ignoring a lot of factors. I'm not claiming they WILL beat either team, but what i am claiming is that the Blazers and Jazz have no chance the Lakers have a window.
