Default Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks One Box of 2012-13 Marquee Basketball

Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks One Box of 2012-13 Marquee Basketball
Apr 9th 2013, 21:31

Panini America’s 2012-13 Marquee Basketball product releases tomorrow boasting an engaging combination of pack variety, print technology and lots of Rookie Cards in every 20-pack box. The result of that collectible concoction, as you’ll see in the gallery that follows, is quite entertaining.
In advance of tomorrow’s official release date and to give collectors an idea of what to expect from the Marquee experience, we busted one early box of the product to take you pack-by-pack through all 160 cards. Enjoy the preview and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage of 2012-13 Marquee Basketball tomorrow, including a must-see episode of Panini Unwrapped.

All of the Base Cards look like Parallels - that's pretty awesome actually ... This product looks so much better than every Panini Product except the Big 3 of TC, Prizm, Select

I wouldn't mind making a set and holding on to it, looks sick

The base cards reminds me of Nba hoops talking hoops in the 90's.

Design, not too bad.

Logo ... horrible.

Logo looks like a NYK logo, giant and out of place. A sleek, subtle logo would have looked great.

Typical panini release ... signs of great, but spoiled with bad.

It's almost like they do it on purpose at this point ... Panini, you need some new brains on your staff ... hire guys like us who know what we're talking about!!!

Set looks sweet with the old school vibe to it. I'd love to put together the base and all the rookie sets.

Anybody know if this product will be in retail too?

I don't think their design team is in that pay range ... their CS, yes.

But yeah I'd do it haha

Yeah, hire the guy with a picture of a cat with a melon helmet as his avatar to make design decisions.

I really like the looks of these cards, and I think they are gonna look amazing in person...and no, I don't have any cases on order, so I'm not in for any...just like the designs and parallels.

This will be a fun to chase your favorite rookies!
Love the swirl cards!
Looks really cool!

Definitely would be opening some boxes of these bad Boys!
Great combo punch after a favorite product in Panini Select.
Right now. The boxes prices are going up and up.
5 years from now. That $195 price would look like a sale.

im shocked wit all the negative crap that comes out on here about TC, Prizm and Select (before it drops!) that people are so high on this! To me it looks like a Past & Present level product except this is over $100 a box! I'm staying far away.

base set is technically 540 cards including 4 different rookie sets. wonder how much a complete base set goes for.
