Very easy to rip on a player and not disclose who you root for.

The fact that we were having a back-and-forth discussion that ended when I asked who he roots for tells me all I need to know
People hate greatness. Its the same reason people hate Lebron. People also hated Jordan.

Its tough to like a player when he dominates the league and your "favorite team" rarely wins because of that player. Unfortunately not everyone recognizes greatness until its gone.

Might as well sit Howard and Gasol...

The way this season has been going, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them gets injured...

He already answered this in another thread.

He still blames Kobe for not going into the post more this season, thus now he left the Lakers unprepared which is why they are losing

I forgot. Kobe is the reason why they lose while kobe is never the reason why they win.

I hope the Heat dont win the championship this year. That way he can blame Kobe for that as well.

Am I misreading it? Doesn't it sound like he's blaming Kobe because the Lakers don't know how to play in the post?

No, it sounds like he blames kobe for all global problems.

If what I said had occurred. Kobe wouldn't be injured and the lakers would have a highly developed post offense and one of the greatest shooting gaurds ever. Now talk about a great offense.

Seems like the lakers would be a completely different team.

I don't know how I forced the words out of your mouth, but OK.

I simply quoted what you said.

So to the original question then, who do you blame for the Lakers on the verge of getting swept?

No you assumed wrongly what my opinion was and went blabbering lies. I think the real question is who is to blame for the lakers poor season. I asked that threads ago and you not really anyone want to answer.

I think there are plenty of things to blame this series on injuries, lack of guard play, undeveloped offense, oh and having to play possibly the best team in the west.

But that isn't the real question.
Your turn...

This thread is about the series with the Spurs, not the regular season.

Let's stay on topic

Spurs look good thus far tonight. Looks like they will sweep the Lakers. One of the most dissapointing seasons in Laker history based on what was expected.

At the beginning of the game there were a lot of empty seats. Sorry that offended you. I guess getting to the game mid first quarter is typical.

Keep slinging insults though cowboy.

jesus, what did people expect. of course it is disappointing, but you can't accurately gauge how good this team could be based on this season. this has been a historically bad year for injuries with this team. no one knows what would have happened if this team had time to gel together, so based on what was expected never had a chance to happen.

here is a snippet of a article i read the other day.

"With 171 games missed between 7 rotation players and only 19 combined contests with the planned starting five, there's nothing else to blame besides injury for the debacle that's been the 2012-2013 Los Angeles Lakers season."

did you read that. the planned starting 5 only played 19 games together on the court. that is a shocking and very telling statistic.

not to mention they started the season with mb and the princeton offense and then had to try and adjust to a completely new coach and offensive system on the fly while dealing with a carousel of different players in and out the line up all season.

Which in my opinion was the first mistake they made. Mike Brown is a much better coach than the other guy they have working for them.
