I did drop a MacBook pro on the tile floor and had to email the guy and ask him to wait 3 days extra ( I also paid for overnight shipping) until my new shipment came in.

I felt like an ass but the guy was really cool about it.

I've been getting a variation of the following message from numerous sellers (within hours of the auction ending.)

"If you don't want the item let me know and I will cancel the transaction"

I bid and won, doesn't that signal to a seller that I want the item?

That's one I've never heard before. lol. Obviously you want it. Obvious sellers remorse.

Yeah, as of now anytime I get a bid and no pay, I just immediately put them on my blocked bidder/buyer list. Buyers don't understand that it takes money and considerable time to list these items so and even though you can get the listing and final value fees back the time is lost. Just as a buyer would expect to get the item they bid on, we as sellers expect to get paid.

My kid got on to pc
Car broke down
Basement flooded
Have to go to funeral
Kid got hurt..
Best one is im out of town... well you can still use paypal lol

It is sad to me after a while

Most of items not paid for are 10-20 dollars..

If you don't have 10-20 dollars.... things must not be going very well...

So i try to think of it that way... it sucks and it is sad that your life is not going that well

But should you be bidding on baseball cards?

Sold a Kaepernick Contenders auto the week before the SB. Didn't hear from the guy and I'm figuring he's waiting to see how the SB turns out. Finally hear from him after the SB and he says his acc't was hacked into and was all messed up. Couldn't pay due to that. Of course this happens right after the Niners lose???? Keep track of his ebay acc't and he's buying stuff right and left and getting feedback even though his acc't was hacked into. Arse Clown....

i've heard some silly stuff over the years. i have my account set to open unpaid cases automatically on the fastest option. i don't mess around with these people. i almost always pay for items immediately. if you're going to commit to buy something, you should have the money for it already.

Look at this GEM and keep in mind the case had already been open and closed by the time he wrote me back after I wrote him 3 times with no response. A total of about 7 or 8 days:

i am the winner of item JASON KAPONO 2003-04 Upper Deck EXQUISITE COLLECTION Rook… (290897639573) I still have a problem with my paypal account and i can't sent bank draft or money order to you because they cany accept credit card payment. i have money on my credit card and i really want this item. can you accept direct credit card payment? i mean i give you all my credit card info such as credit card number, expired date and all info you need. or any other method i can pay except paypal? I really hopeless here, hope you can help me. please advice Thanks plmk asap.

It's always interesting to look at a bidder who purchased your item and is delinquent in making payment, and then clicking on their feedback, looking at the varied transactions, to reveal they're paying everyone else but you. If they (the buyer) asks you to "cancel their transaction" I think the only fair way is to just file with eBay for non-payment and not "agree to cancel the transaction" and let them off the hook. I think there's a lot of buyer's remorse with over zealous bidders, but if you just file a Non-Paying Bidder's Alert, then get your Request for Final Credit and close the case, a lot of times you'll hear back from the bidder and they'll pay in order to get their account not suspended. And if you're hurting their account by not letting 'em off the hook and they do have financial strife, you're actually doing them a favor by disallowing them from bidding on other items and getting in over their head in further debt anyway.
