Default harrison barnes..

is soo mild-mannered. fast-break dunk, gives warriors biggest lead of the game & leads to denver timeout. no smile, no emotion lol, unlike the rest of the team (and the arena). when curry made a 3 or the layup where he was fouled, he started yelling into the crowd! and no one on his team even gives him a chest bump or nothing. does he have any friends in GS????

anyway, im so glad GS is winning. i bet tickets for oracle are insanely hard to acquire

During the pre-game show, they talked about Harrison. They said as a rookie, even though he knows he has the talent and skills, he deferred to the veterans on the team. He accepted his role as a rookie and just did what he had to do as a team player. But... as everybody is seeing, this kid is starting to grow up and really show off what he can be....

Barnes doesn't get as many touches due to Curry, Jack and Thompson. When he is aggressive, he has the athleticism and smarts to be a pretty good wing on both sides of the ball. But as was mentioned above, he defers to the established offensive leaders.

Similar to Kawhi!

I like it! Especially as a young player still learning the game. It shows that he is focussed on what his job is. I can't stand when you see players whacking their chest and screaming after a big dunk when they are down by 20 and playing poorly! (see Deandre Jordan lol)

He probably understands that its the playoffs and they still have a long way to go. (unlike many other young players)

He's focused, I really like the kid, a lot of potential.

I see Harrison having the potential to be a Paul George type star. Maybe not quite the defender but a little better offensively. I think we will definitely seem he continue to improve as he feels more comfortable with his position on the team. I think next year he could average 15+ ppg.

i watched Barnes at UNC a ton, and what is being described just seems to be his personality sometimes.

insane talent, and he would would show flashes (see his freshman year against UK in the tournament) where he looked unstoppable.

he also has spells where he is quiet and nonassertive.

i really like him and it seems like the Warriors are a great team/atmosphere to bring more energy out of him. if he can play u pto his potential (which i believe is huge), they could be awesome next year with a fully healthy lineup.

to me, the nba player he is most similar to is Jeff Green.. similar size, same type of skills and demeanor, not assertive enough at times, but can throw down a highlight dunk without question, can hit midrange, drive, or spot up 3.

(And for the record, i believe Green will be an all-star once pierce/garnett have moved on)

i really like what mark jackson is doing in GS and preaching defense will only help develop offensive-minded guys like klay and harrison and david lee

Barnes' D is the best of the wings and guards on the team. He's a big reason why the dubs improved drastically on that end this year. If we get rid of Lee, we're going to be huge a legitimate top 4 seed.
