To get that Lebron RPA. I'm sure this guy holds the card back. How many Lebron RPA auto does he have anyway, it seems to be there every release.

Wow, very ignorant comment. With your logic, why ever buy any boxes of cards? Some people enjoy the excitement aspect and would like the gamble of trying to pull a high valued card without having to pay the retail amount to purchase it by itself. I want a LeBron Exquisite RC, but am not going to shell out $14,000 for it. Risk vs. Reward. That is one of the major aspects of this hobby.

I look at this stuff like any other high end product. You get a case of NT football for say you may only get a third of your money back. I love the high risk/high reward stuff personally. Thats why I don't bust stuff if I can't afford a 0 dollar return

You COMPLETELY missed the point there bud. I am not saying that I would spend $14,000 busting boxes in hopes to get a Lebron Exquisite RC. What I am saying is that I would spend $1500, or what I could afford on a couple cases in the hopes to get that card and if I don't get the particular card I want, I will rest assured get a few nice cards instead. Its the gamble. Same thing as saying I want to pull a Kyrie Preferred Silhouettes in a $180 box I buy. If I don't pull it, it doesn't mean I will spend $5000 buying more boxes in hopes to get it just because thats what his card sells for. If I get it than great, if not, then I have some other nice cards to add to the collection. It comes down to what can I afford or am willing to pay for. If I can afford to buy it outright on eBay, COMC, or wherever, then I buy it. If I can't then I get a box and gamble. Without the gamble there is NO box breaks, NO boxes to purchase, No cases, just card companies selling individual cards to us. Now where is the fun in that?

Unless you're a millionaire and can purchase whatever card you want to fill your PC, then most of us collectors have to rely on a bit of the gamble aspect of this hobby to get some of the cards we want.
