Only if MSG can clear some of those division title banners away so we have a place to hang out championship banners

You know my vote, one more year. Better depth. Roll with the new big 3 one more time then total explosion after next year.

Wouldn't want him.......try to get Pierce for much cheaper, hope KG remains. Realize that Pierce and KG now need to come off the bench, so it's time to rebuild.

Unless Pierce wants to extend his deal, and lower his AAV for 2013-14, Id be interested in that.

I am okay with both him and KG starting, BUT they need a better bench. They need someone who can back up KG for 20+ minutes a night. That should be target #1 if he comes back.

If Green is gonna start, he cant spell Pierce. If Terry isnt the guy, they need a guy to back up Pierce.

They both can still be starters, they just need solid back ups. Not Shavlik Randolph and Courtney Lee

I chose make a ruN. Boston is not a hotbed for free agents, so we might as well keep what we have. That said we need pierce to take a pay cut and sign an extension. Kg can play, just not more than 25 a night.
We need a better bench. Rondo can help (even though I want him to be trade bait). He will make bradley better, and Green needs to be option 1 or 2 behind Rondo. Pierce can still be the man but it is time to take a smaller role.

THE NUMBER ONE THING NEEDE IS A REAL BIG MAN!!!!!!!!

I'd say trade Pierce and Garnett to contenders so that they can get a last chance at a championship. It is well deserved for the years they put in with the C's. In return, Boston could get draft picks and start the rebuilding process.

That would be the best thing. But I think Garnett wants to retire a C

Garnett has a no trade, he wont accept it. Its either Boston with Pierce or retiring.

And Ainge needs value back, if hes not gonna get a legit young stud (as much as he can) for Pierce, having him is better than just dumping him.

Thats another reason why I think they both are back. Are the Warriors gonna give up Thompson or Barnes for Pierce? No. Is anyone gonna give up a top 5 pick for him? No.

Go through a rebuilding stage.

It might take a few bad years and to get back up.

Plenty of great organizations have gone through it, and before Boston got their "Big 3" they were pretty bad for a long time.

Celtics have done it twice in the last 15 years, no thanks on the total rebuild.

Rondo, Green, Sullinger etc its not enough to be terrible. They will be fighting for 7th/8th every year, so whats the point ya know?

The draft sucks this year but they are going to have a decent pick, so hopefully hes a rotation player.

If the Celtics could move up to get someone like Trey Burke, McLemore etc using Pierce then I am okay with that.

But a straight up blowing it up rebuild, unless you trade Rondo isnt going to work.

Josh Smith? Who's a free agent and a prolific ball hog/chucker?

No thanks. Celtics could sign him and then hafta do all kinds of crazy salary cap stuff.

Courtney Lee is a goner, plus he makes too much. Bass was actually productive this year so I think he stays

If I had to guess the definite returns: Rondo (99%), Sullinger 100%, Green 100%, Bass 75 %, Bradley 98%, Terry 75% (Who would want him?), Crawford 75%.

Thats it really. The rest I think could go either way.

I want one more year, I don't know if its the best for the future, but I don't care.

These guys are too awesome to watch. I think they have plenty left in the tank playing wise, but off the charts with heart/pride/grit/etc.

If they could avoid the injury bug next year I would like to see what they do with fully healthy squad.

I like what I saw from Sully, Bradley will go back to doing what he does best when rondo returns, jeff green to improve upon this season.

I don't think they need pierce/kg for 38 minutes a night but 25-30 would be perfect at this point.
