It's all speculation. This move means a lot more for Nets fans than it would for other fan bases. In 2009/10, we went 12-70. Our starting lineup was Brook Lopez, Yi Jianlian, Devin Harris, Jarvis Hayes, and Courtney Lee. Our lineup this year has Brook Lopez, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce. Are we screwed for the future? Most likely, yes. But basketball is a game of cycles. The Celtics were dominant for a while there, when the Nets were awful. We will have our downs, but we will get better after everyone retires/leaves.

You guys should really tell Pierce to come off the bench, that would be the best move. Doubt Kidd does that though. He couldnt come off the bench in Boston, but in Brooklyn he can and should.

I have seen a few people blaming Jay Z and saying this is a terrible move. Jay Z only owns .15% of the team, and he's selling it.

I think Paul should start, but I hope we give him bench type minutes. If we play him too much, he will wear down quickly.

Tell me about it. Not sure what your other teams are, but I'm a Mets, Jets, and Nets fan. It's been a painful past 20 years.

I thought Jay-Z already sold his portion of the team?

This is a great move that gives them a very good chance at winning a title. So what if they are bad for a while after they win, that is much better than constantly being kind of good and not winning anything.

not a nets fan at all on paper this line up looks good it does seem like they can possibly give the east more compition since it's horrible aside from 3 teams but you nets fans also have to look at bench players if they have a lousy bench no way in hell this team is going anywhere especially if they are not healthy

Their bench is solid as of right now, assuming Blatche comes back and Bogdanovic signs for the mini MLE.

Teletovic, Shengelia, Taylor, Blatche, Terry, Reggie, Bogs, and Plumlee.

Lots of athleticism and some good scoring options.

Who need MarShon Brooks when you have what you want him to become in Jason Terry?

The Nets have enough help now, and its huge that Evans was not included. His rebounding off the bench will be huge.

Nets are loaded from top to bottom. The most complete starting 5 in the NBA. So excited to see this team play. Hope Jason Kidd can handle all of them.

I honestly think Kidd is just going to sit back and watch this season. Lawrence Frank can intervene and scheme, while the players basically coach themselves. KG, Pierce, Joe, Deron, and Brook have more than enough experience as well as 35 all star appearances between them. They know what it takes to succeed.

Dray is back. Get me Korver and Livingston/Telfair or trade Reggie for a backup PG, and this is one hell of on off season

What about it? A rival GM said it was in the bag, Billy King never said that. It's too bad, he would've helped big time. I guess this clears space for Bogdanovic to come over.

That some fans, some in this thread said it was done and took it as gospel.

Thats what its about. No need to get ahead of yourselves.

Numbers crunch, Nets have less than or just at 3$ mil to use.

Peter Vecsey ‏@PeterVecsey1 3m
Nets now focused on signing Bogandovic. Contrary to reports(wishful thinking?) BK never targeted Marco or Barnes

Ugh. We are in a win now mode, and Bogs is going to need a year just like Mirza last year. Barnes would be the perfect fit as we need a defender that can at least challenge Lebron/George. Right now, looks like this is going to be a zone team.

they still need a solid coach to win a title, it doesnt matter how many all star games the players have played in. there is only 1 title between them all. the east is getting really solid again, its going to be a fun season next year!!!!!

I wonder how much playing time (if any) Toko will get. I can't wait to see him this weekend in the Summer League.
