Woj: Jason Kidd wants Brooklyn Nets job - NetsDaily

I'd love to have Kidd as an assistant coach, I'm just not sure he is ready to be the head coach, especially after just retiring last week.

I would take Kidd as choice 1b. I still want Shaw, just because he has more experience. Kidd and D-Will are close friends though, so maybe D-Will can play better.

I agree I'd rather have Shaw, I wouldn't mind Jason, but I think Brian Shaw could do a better job. I would just be worried that Kidd would be too friendly with D-Will. Obviously Deron wants to win, but sometimes he needs someone to be assertive in order for him to do his best.

I'd love Kidd back with the Nets organization though, it's where he belongs.

Did you see CJ is opting out? Not worried about him as Tyshawn is capable both offensively and defensively.

Andray not coming back scares the hell out of me though, as we need him, either as a starting 4 or 6th man.

The big thing about Shaw though would be player development, specifically Marshon, Toko, Ty, and Mirza. I don't know if Kidd would play Marshon or Ty as much as they should be played.

Yea, I liked CJ but I don't think he was that much of an upgrade over Tyshawn. Tyshawn needs to limit the turnovers, then he can be good. We definitely need Andray back, and it seems he wants to come back. The Wizards are paying a large part of his salary, so that's a good sign. I understand it's more about the money, but I think Blatche owes the Nets for giving him a second chance. Plus we want him back

Don't forget Terry. But I think the biggest part about the night is that Marshon stayed! I thought for sure he was gone. We aren't going to regret this!

Yea, I'm glad we were able to keep Shon. I will miss Toko though, he was one of my favorites.

So a starting lineup of Williams, Johnson, Pierce, Garnett, and Lopez

Wow, that's pretty impressive and should give the Heat a good run for their money

Not a Nets fan, but they should be right up there w/ the Heat and Bulls if they stay healthy. And if D-Will goes down, Jason Kidd can become a player/coach.

The 1st part..Yes. The 2nd part NO. Did you see Kidd play last year? Juwan Howard could have blown by him. Kidd is D-O-N-E as a player.

Let's just hope D-Will doesn't go down

Blatche is no guarantee to come back, especially now that Reggie is gone, as they were very good friends. Mirza should be mentioned as well

The young guns are all still here. NetsDaily just reported that Marshon and Toko are still on the team .

Safe to say that if this goes down on july 10th, biggest trade of the summer? Bigger than anything Howard decides and bigger than Holiday. I dont see another trade topping this one.

So now we are keeping Toko and Reggie but giving up MarShon? That sucks. MarShon could break out with the Celtics.

man next year's cards are gonna throw me off big time, seeing KG, P2 in black uniforms instead of the Celtics green. Looks like Nets is gonna be a new "want" team in group breaks? lol KG's final years.

Though I'm no fan of nets, I'm glad they kept their center in Brook Lopez. He's a good player I like him.
