Default Most Watched Basketball Cards

I started a similar thread in the Baseball card section and its been fun so I thought maybe we could start one here.

First up:

Kobe Bryant 07-08 Exquisite Limited Logo All-Star Patch Auto 23/50 @ $10,000 & 39 bids + 274 watchers. Highly contested card.

And just for the record, Michael Jordan would kick Kobe's ass up and down the court. nuff said.

I know the All-Star patch is more limited....But I'd still prefer a nice Big Lakers Patch with that card

People fail to realize, watchers aren't bidders LOL

People just want to see what it ends at and watch the idiots bid up a card that is obviously shilled.

They are going to have to pay the "seller's" fee to eBay regardless of the shilling.

Not really, they just cancel the sale. No one pays any fees. Ebay is full of holes.

You're really going to love this auction. All bids above 3400 is questionable. We have a guy who have multiple documented history of receiving nothing from envelop; then we have a guy 41% bidding activity with seller; then a couple of guys having 55 and 29 bidding retractions, then three low/0 feedback guys throwing 8k+ at a /50 card with an average patch pattern. Good luck if any zillionnaire want to burn money away by bidding on it further. I probably pay 2-3k for a better patch pattern, but not this one.

The star is an added bonus to the patch...don't know if it adds that much of a premium...

I know when he first changed his auto to the full name people went nuts...

When Jordan's best 1/1 auto from 90s can be had for 7-9k, why would you pay 5k for a junk auto (in comparison) in average grade pulled from a MJ only product?

The answer seems to lie in the way the auction was carried out, private listing. No one is interested in obviously shilled auctions. Stop bumping this nonsensical thread.

Actually its a very very rare Jordan. I never saw one before. Its from the UD Legends Master set. The mystery pack, not the Jordan Master collections set.

Beautiful card, but you are right. DA hides bidders for a reason.

2012-13 Panini Crusade Kyrie Irving Gold Prizm # 25 @ $325 & 22 bids + 95 watchers.

I dunno, it doesn't do it for me.

Just going to post this here as I feel it is semi-related to the thread, even though it is kind of a shameless self plug. This Shaq I have on eBay has 8 watchers right now and I just listed it last night. I searched everywhere I could think of for another one and couldn't find any of them anywhere for reference. Anybody know how rare these might be or if it is from a highly desired set?

Shame so many of these bids are probably fraudulent. As a fellow seller I hope eBay eventually (sooner than later) intends on resolving these types of issues. Then again, eBay has never really been seller friendly. SMH

Indeed. This thread has about as much validity as the auctions cited. You'd have to be a newbie to fall for this stuff.

I'm just reporting on cards that have watchers. You can't fake a watch count. I will try to perform a little more due diligence on the auction itself by researching the bidders and how often they bid on the sellers card before I list them in the future. Perhaps you can contribute to this thread yourself?
