its seems like they are just using the lilliard autos as leverage to sell another high product. I think overall visually it look better than NT, it also seems to have more auto that are on card vs NT which had a lot of stickers. Its sort of like with every release panini gets really close to actually "getting it" but never really hits the nail on the head. People want on card autos, big multi color patches, and low prints runs of good players for a reasonable price. Its not rocket science. The market has been complaining about their releases for so long ago you would think they would have caught on by now. At this point I feel either they just aren't capable or are just more driven by the bottom line rather than putting out something of great quality that fits what the market wants.

If one case is 3750$ ... YOu could buy pretty much any pc card you wanted for the most part if not multiple cards..
I guess its all about the risk/reward.

I like these:

These remind me of Exquisite 'Flawless':

I'm sure I've seen this design before:

Veterans now have NT RC cards!

Decent product. Horrendous price point.

Rookie materials are all game used and not photo shoot materials.

These are gorgeous cards...

The All-Star insert is fairly nice, everything else is just blasť. National Treasures 2.0.

Well this is only the "first" preview we've seen. It could very well be 1 logoman per box. In 5 years I can see a 5-card pack having all logos on them costing $5,000 per.

I notice them as well. In football its Jimmy Graham and Jeremy Maclin. Wierd thing is in 2009 Upper Deck Black, a product famous for smudged or messed up autos, Maclins autos are near perfect on them.

There is no product worth 1250 a box.

Cards look nice, but that's where it ends.

While I don't disagree that some of the names could be better, I'm not super shocked at the price. And I think there will be people that pay it. NT is now about $700-$750 per box. For that you get a bunch of sticker autos and a chance at a huge card. You don't get 7 on-card autographs. You don't have every card #ed to 25 or less. You don't have Damian Lillard. And you don't have valuable base cards.

I just looked at the NT checklist and it has TONS of bad names on it. In addition to that, there are no scrub RC in Flawless. Only the top 20 or 25 guys made it in the set. Treasures has 100 RC autos in it. So no more Jan Vesely, Alex Burks, Marcus Morris, Chris Singleton, Nolan Smith, Jordan Hamilton, Lavoy Allen, Corey Joseph, Ivan Johnson, Gustavo Ayon, Chris Copeland, Kyle Singler, Jae Crowder, Fab Melo, John Jenkins, Jared Cunningham, Tony Wroten, Miles Plumlee, Arnett Moultrie, Perry Jones, Marquis Teague, Festus Ezeli, Quincy Acy, Doron Lamb.

$1250.00 on a pack of cards or a '96 Chevrolet Cavalier?

F***...decisions, decisions.

Anyone think that because these rookie cards are GAME WORN material and not photoshoot material that it is going to make a difference.

This will be the only product of the year where the rookies are game worn...

Personally I think those look a bit dumb and wasteful. Each to their own!

Another overpriced product, some nice sets in Flawless but generally it's not worth 1250$ :/

Can't wait till the product get a couple months old. Then I can pick up my Steph Curry singles at nice cheap prices compared to the price point on a box of this Panini National Signatures Treasures stuff. 2 boxes of this stuff, or a Jordan Exquisite Patch Auto in a Bulls Uniform? Hmmm....the choice is yours.....

$1,250 a pack... Until the distributors get a hold of it and charge $1,500+. I'd say this is a "wait for singles" product but who is going to be crazy enough to buy packs to generate those singles?

So it took panini to create a 1250 p/b product to finally make foil borders on the patch Windows

This was posted on Panini Blog. I guess Panini is acknowledging the need for a class A auto (Kobe/Durant/Irving/Lillard etc.) to be in each box to make up the high price point.

September 5, 2013 3:45 pm

tracy can you respond on the question about box hit? at this price point.. there should be class a signers

Not ignoring that one. You’re on the right track there and we still have some announcements to come. Stay tuned.
