just wanted to state that I do not shill any of my auctions, never did and never will.

as all of you I was surprised with how high it went and I would be lying if I would say I was not happy with the outcome.

the winning bidder seems to be legit, thank you Matt confirming .

If you look at the bids...

t***0 ( private ) US $1,314.00 Sep-19-13 19:40:22 PDT

e***e ( private ) US $1,289.00 Sep-19-13 19:40:20 PDT

Time Ended: Sep-19-13 19:40:26 PDT

They both entered snipes within 5 seconds of the auction ending. Both parties probably didn't expect the other sniper.

Not saying anything isn't odd, or that they WILL pay, but to me it looks like 2 simultaneous snipes.

Thats what is setting crazy prices. 2 snipes with huge caps. Some people put in massive caps on their snipes because theyll just beat out the 2nd highest bid by a few bucks. Then BAM... someone else does the same thing and you get a huge ending price.

If only 1 snipe was set, that card would have ended under $300

I dont get why people always assume a buyer is sniping? I ALWAYS put my bid in with 1 or 2 seconds remaining and have never "snipped" and have never used a "sniping service" in my life- mainly because the latest they enter ur bid is with 3 to 5 seconds left and i always do mine with 1 second to go, or at most 2 seconds... I can't be the only one who does it this way??

That is what a snipe is; a bid placed in the final moments of an auction. In contrast, a 'non snipe' bid is one placed during the beginning and middle portions of the auction duration. In a 'set ending' auction a snipe bid is placed at the end so that no time is left for another bid. This isn't possible in a 'variable end' auction in which the bidding continues until a silence period.

Software and websites offer assistance in the form of non-human snipes. You simply snipe manually.

Congrats on the sale!! I too recognize the winning bidder and have dealt with him before (good buyer). Really nice sale and I want to applaud you for the honesty of even stating the crease in the patch corner

That's exactly what sniping is. Placing your bid at the last possible second. It doesn't have to be through a service. I prefer to do mine manually as well.

So tell me is this about right pricing. Jersey numbered of a RC is 2-3x its regular price. Jersey numbered of a RC of a Major Set (eg Exquisite and NT), 3-4 x. Jersey Numbered of a Major player of a Major set, 5x-plus its regular price?

i dont believe that. If Cole would be in the starting 5 he would be a great PG.
But at this time the Prices for a guy that only plays 8-12 minutes are amazing.

U know only 90's inserts and Exquisite cards are questionable. Everything Panini is 100% legit. Oh yeah so is Retro! The hottest release ever!

Lots of sour UD fanboys that just cant get over the fact that money exists outside of them.

Im sorry, but you guys are the ballers you thought you were. Yes, there is money out there. Much more than you have. Move on and live with it.

Lots of bubble bursting these days.

I like the droolers trying to argue with someone over their personal preference. People like different stuff... no one is "high" because their preferences don't align with yours. And just because they prefer something with a lower market value doesn't mean they would or should trade something with a higher market value for it straight up.

I really don't understand why you're always trying to pick fights. How many threads have you turned into a UD versus Panini argument when it isn't relevant to the topic? Can we just start a sticky thread where all of the trolling and complaining can go?
