I do agree investing in Kyrie is not a good idea IMO. I love his game but I just don't see anything for him to keep his prices that high. The 2014 draft class will make everyone forget about him.

Kyrie just ballhogged it up or turned the ball over on what seemed like every play he made in the 4th quarter.

Let's hope he understands it's OK to not be the star as long as your team wins...
He really did not have much of a choice last night, whole team pooped their pants, someone had to try and do something.

5.7 - where is that from?

Kyrie through 4 games is at 3.75 turnovers per game - ignore last night (which was really bad) and it becomes a low number.

On the other hand everyone is all over Victor Oladipo's nuts and he averages a full turnover more per game then Kyrie does - even after Kyrie last night.

Gotta love the hobby.

Now you're just being an idiot.

Kyrie Irving has played 110 career games before this season - and scored 2,269 points (20.5 per game) and had 625 assists (5.7 per game)

George Hill has already played 357 career games before this season - and he's only scored 3,843 points (10.8 per game) and had 1,055 assists (2.9 per game)

Kyrie is like 2 seasons from passing George Hill for his career, while George Hill is still playing, and Kyrie will be 23 years old when he does it.

They are the same though.

CJ Miles played well, a few other guys played decently.

I'm not saying Kyrie is a bad player, he's very good.

But he got that ballhog mentality in the 4th quarter, wanted to take it upon himself to score one-on-one against Barea ... thinking he had the advantage, but underestimated Barea's defense.

There's no excuse. As a NBA PG you are surrounded with NBA-skilled athletes. There's no reason to be a ballhog and not pass to anyone for the last few minutes of a close game, especially when you're missing every shot you take and turning the ball over like you have stubs for arms...

Other games he looks to share more, but I think he always has that "showboat"-feel to his game, and loves that one-on-one streetball game.

Hopefully he weeds that out of his game so that his team actually gets to shoot the ball on offense, and have a PG who's willing to allow someone else to get the glory in a close game if it makes more sense for the team to win doing so!

Thank you for pointing out all those facts to him. I was too lazy to do it.

Someone posted it earlier.

Kyrie also is shooting 36% from FG and 18% from 3.

Yeah, only 3 games in ... but not amazing.

Don't compare him to Oladipo. Oladipo doesn't have someone paying $8,000 for a 1/1 auto "RC" (RC is in quotes because Kyrie has about 10,000 rookie year autographs...)

And don't bother saying "ignore last night and it becomes a low number" ... that's absurd. It's part of his stats right now, and the next few games he could possibly average 7-8 turnovers as well for all you know ... removing factual data is just as bad as speculating.

Which backs up kicking him out of the league. Clearly.

The guy doesn't play above the rim.

I don't know about you all, but all recent guards that maintain super high card price levels either:

- play above the rim

or

- are ridiculous volume scorers

or

-both

Wade, 'Bron, KD, Westbrook, Rose...all either huge volume scorers or play above the rim.

Amazes me how much people are paying for Kyrie and Lillard autos. Almost makes me think a Terrell Brandon RPA back in the day would have sold for 2k+.

He is terrible. Dump those Kyrie autos here!!

I think it's funny how people ridicule someone after 4 games of the season. These tyes of threads are made just about everyday downing kyrie. It must be that people hope his prices drop because they didn't invest in him. Everyone playing in the league had down parts in their career. People need to calm down on his 4 game performance.

Nothing to worry about with a solid stat line, could easily jump a couple baskets and assists per game and the hype train is back on track.

A.Davis is doing better than I thought he would, but I would easily take Kevin Love over him and probably if I had to chose I'd still take B.Griffin too..

I have to disagree with this. This is the problem with point guards who are clearly the #1 option on the team but also have the added duties of making sure the offense runs smoothly. They get saddled with the ball-hog title and it just isn't true for Kyrie. Who is he supposed to pass to during crunch time in the 4th quarter? Dion Waiters? Waiters is shooting 33% this year and shot 41% last year. There's Tristan Thompson but he looks all sorts of awkward in the post (although he is getting better). Bynum is shooting below 30% and we all know that the #1 pick this year Bennett is still searching for his first FG. The only player that is shooting well is CJ Miles but he's a catch and shoot player and he's never shot even close to the 52% that he's shooting right now in his past years.

The point is, Kyrie needs to shoot the ball for Cleveland to be competitive until Cleveland develops or acquires a legit #2 or a better player than Kyrie.

No way about this unless you are talking about the dunk contest, IMHO. Griffin doesn't have a jump shot, shoots free throws poorly, and for how high he jumps he should be a better rebounder and shot blocker.
