I honestly don't think he meant to do it on purpose, but being from Chicago, it's a huge blow and kick to the nuts to all these Illinois fans...

Sure it makes LeBron's "The decision" look brilliant, but he's like 17. People wishing harm are being way too dramatic. Sad fact is we live in the troll culture now just take a look at this forum you don't believe me. There is an Illinois fans reaction video on YouTube you have to see what I won't post due to the language.

Very immature...but he's 17 so what else do you expect other than him to be immature?

If anything blame the parents as you know this had to have been discussed prior to the announcement(you can tell the dad knew this was coming with the pick nose/fake stretch to get arms in air move). Coach Self will iron out any immaturity issues if they still exist when he arrives at Kansas.

As an Illinois fan, I wasn't happy with his decision - but thought that was pretty funny. People never miss an opportunity to get their panties in a bunch.

As an Illinois alumni I am used to dissapointment. I honestly never excepted Cliff to choose U of I over the big schools, but there appeared to be more and more traction over the recent days. That said, I can accept his choice. He is not the first top prospect to not choose us, and he certainly isn't the best.

What I cannot accept is the way he did it. 17 years old or not, anyone would know thats a classless move. John Groce is by all accounts a better person than he is a coach. He put a lot of time in recuiting Cliff. Cliff could have returned the respect by just making his choice and not pulling the fake out move. He dissapointed a large fan base from his home state by choosing Kansas, but he didn't have to rub salt in the wounds

It has been a rough couple of days for Illinois. HC and OC fighting.

As an Illinois fan, I feel the exact same way.

He wants to go to the NBA. He made the best choice. I feel for you Illini fans. We KU fans have been on the losing end of "hat decisions" since Baron Davis picked up our hat and tossed it to the side back in the 90's.
