My wife collects shoes. I have one pair of sneakers, several dress shoes, several pairs of boots and some slaps. They all serve their purpose.

What do you do with all these sneakers? They don't exactly scream fashion. Do they look reasonable with any type of clothing? Do you display them? To each their own.

I personally haven't purchased a pair of Jordan's since the CDP's in 08. Quality is awful on 99% of releases. I've focused more on getting og stuff from mom and pop stores we clear out. On that note if you're looking for a specific shoe from 1988-2003 I can likely find it for you. I sell vintage clothes/shoes for a living and have for quite sometime.

I was very addicted to Jordan's for a while. I have sold a ton of my pairs off in the last year and turned them into a stunning 1951 Bowman Mantle PSA 4. I was amazed at how much I was able to get for them.

Having grown up on Jordan's and other dope nikes, I got hooked. Problem I had was I rarely get to wear them anymore since I'm always in dress shoes for work. They also take up way too much space in an NYC apartment! Only ones I have really kept were my 3's, 4's and 11's.

Some very nice shoes there. Those white/cement 3's are hands down the best sneaker of all time. I have my pair with the Nike Air on the back and when I met MJ last year he stopped me in the restaurant and told me "nice shoes, those are the ones!"

I've been collecting shoes since the mid/late 80's..So, I've got a lot of the original Jordans, even befire they were retros. Al of them are deadstock, never worn of course.

Here lately I've been collecting all of the KD releases, with the Aunt pearl coming out yesterday. Hardest one to grab yet. There were almost 700 people in line...and the store only received 60 pair. Now they're online selling in the $300-$500 range. KD was there in person to do his Worldwide release....so it was a madhouse!

I used to when I managed a Foot Locker in High School, so I would get some nice discounts. It gets extremely pricey and addicting so I had to stop. The most I spend was on a pair of LeBron/AF1 Chamber of Fears.

For me, its no different than any other collection. I would guess that my collection stands at around 400 pair that are Deadstock..never been worn. Most of these shoes are uglier than sin...and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.

Here's a video of Kenny G, and his collection.

That was at the House of Hoops in OKC. Durant was there, to do a live release. The Aunt Pearls were sold out in less than 30 seconds on both Footlocker and Nike.com.

I used to collect when I was younger but sold about 90% of my collection about 5 years ago. Always loved the Air Max 95's.

I would say that 12-15 pair are OG Air Jordans from the late 80s-90s. everything else is mid 90s on up. When I was young, I also probably had 30-40 unopened boxes of Wheaties with the Jordan posters included. But once I went off to college, and my parents couldn't deal with all that crap anymore...most of it found new homes. I couldn't part with the shoes. They're just stacked boxes, in bigger boxes in closets and the attic...nothing really cool to display. That's why I posted that youtube video. of Kennys collection. Hands down..One of the biggest/baddest. Look at how He displays all his stuff....its ridiculous.

In my old age, I've moved onto game used Jerseys/Memoribilia. But Shoes and Cars will always be my #1.

I was expecting the jazz Kenny G. What does OG mean?

I wore out some sneakers in the 80s that would probably be worth something today. I have super wide feet and my parents bought me one pair of sneakers per year and the Nike Air were the best fits for my feet.

Technically, it means "Original Gangsta" or slang for an old gang member. But in newer "slang" alot of times it is used to describe anything old school. The "OG " Jordan's were back in the day, when they didn't have such a cult following. The were simply created to market Michael Jordan. To me, it was cool to have the same shoes as the player I idolized...now it's more of a gangsta gangsta, cool fashion trend to have them. (That's not for me) Like I said....I wouldn't be caught dead wearing any of these shoes Ive bought.

I've been collecting since 1995. But I wear every pair. I don't have one pair deadstock. I'm sitting on 147 pairs and that's after selling more than 50. If you use Instagram add my sell page. @ca2illvintage. We sell a variety of 80's and 90's shoes as well as vintage nike, sports teams and other clothing.

I need to take some more up to date pics, but here is a general idea of my collection.

Room is a tad messy, and there have been a few more acquisitions since I took this pic.

A few gems that I haven't seen yet in this thread

These are absolutely incredible

And of course, you can't go wrong with either of these

Stay tuned for more. I need to get pics of some of my Kobes and Lebrons.

Finally someone in this thread who wears a big boy size like me!!

Seriously though, I like buying shoes but I buy them to wear. My latest pair, and favorite shoe of all time, is the Lebron X Lows. Could have picked up the Jordan Infrared's but couldn't convince myself to pay $175 for a pair of shoes!

Also, I can't stand to wear anything but low cut shoes unless I'm playing ball. So that greatly reduces my options as it seems the high's are all the rage right now.
