before the start I would have said Knicks and Cavs are in the playoffs. Now, Hawks seem to have inside track for 8th seed.

I definitely feel like the Cavs are going to beat the Hawks Friday in Atlanta. If that doesnt happen t hen yeah the hawks have a chance to make it. I think Cavs will beat them though. Hawks were losing most the game at home vrs philly. They just arent winning, and I dont see how its going to miraculously change overnight.

the knicks were already booming before Phil was officially signed. The way this team is playing I honestly believe 4-2 in there final 6 will be enough to make the playoffs. I don't trust Atlanta to win, and I do believe that the knicks will also have the TIE BREAKER.

Also, leave it to the Cavs to be there own worst enemy, you really think the Cavs can go like 10-2 in there final 12 games? I don't see it but they will have to do it to beat out the knicks who have a 2 game lead on them and own the TIE BREAKER as well.

TRUE on the cavs, they are my heart as are the indians and browns, but dont see them going 10-2 etc. Just it would definitely be a shock to me. Id say like 10% chance at best.

If Stern were still in charge you could almost guarantee that the Cavs would get in to setup that Miami v Cleveland round 1 series.

I think it will be the Knicks, but given the remaining schedules I could see the Cavs sneaking in. Will be great if it comes down to the last game of the season and Cleveland has Brooklyn at home. Would Kidd rest everybody if they are locked in or would he have his guys go strong being a former Knick and all?

Knicks are playing the best right now out of these 3, the Hawks are tanking and are fine missing.

Knicks then maybe the Cavs who somehow are not dead yet even though they should have been like 9 times

can we all agree that out of these three teams the cavs are the best though? If there was more time the cavs would make it?

They started off so bad but they have been playing well together even in their losses and it looks like they just needed time and spencer hawes

I wouldnt b surprised if the knicks get some questionable calls down the stretch

Knicks vs heat first round would benefit and b much better for the nba then any other

Market wise yes. BUT, Kyrie in the playoffs for the first time, Cleveland has a rabid (and sometimes ridiculously stupid) fanbase, LeBron vs former team, LeBron summer opt out, the storylines for Heat v Cavs I think would trump the Knicks.

If the Knicks were a better team and could make a deep run then absolutely. However we all know either team will lose in 4-5 games to Miami and is the NY market worth those 5 games or is the buildup mentioned above gonna draw more interest?

Lets remember who the cavs beat recently (yes the knicks )

The cavs just lost to the pacers and the nets who the knicks beat

Knicks are something like 13-5 since beginning of march

Cavs dont beat the elite teams

I would guaruntee miami would love to play the cavs over the knicks

100%

Id like to hear the reasons for the cavs

I actually think if the knicks can play the pacers in the first round, they take the series to the distance and lose in 7!

Just to answer your other question the Cavs just DEMOLISHED the Pacers last Sunday. Then went to Brooklyn and laid an egg. They just destroyed the Magic last night in ORL, like they should have, but ORL has been playing quite well at home.

My prediction is

Knicks 4-2

Cavs 5-1

Hawks 4-4

Knicks get the 8 seed

I think it will be

Knicks 3-3
Cavs 5-1
Hawks 4-4

Knicks will get the 8 seed based upon tie-breaker.

there are some very bias opinions here.
if the hawks were so bad, why are they in competition for the 8th seed and so are the cavs/knicks, but the knicks/cavs aren't getting bashed...
