I'd have to go with Big Al and not just because my favorite player is on the Bobcats...Cats were 40 games below .500 last year and have a great shot at finishing above .500 and in the playoffs. Who thought that before the season started!?!?

They added a little bench depth with drafting/acquisitions of Zeller/Tolliver/CDR, McBob is having a career year, but really Big Al is easily the biggest reason they are in the playoff hunt 2 seasons removed from the worst winning % in NBA history.

huh really? Take DJ away from the Bulls and Big Al away from the Bobcats and who suffers more. Its not even close. Bobcats are 40 games below .500 again Bulls a few below and probably still in the playoff hunt.

The Bulls have a much better supporting cast outside of DJ. Noah is an all-star, had Deng for half the season, Jimmy Butler is a very solid player, Bobcats have nobody of Gibson's ability coming off the bench.

Tough call between d.J and Jefferson. Both are great add's.
D.J is def on a better team, starters, bench, and coach.
Both are solid FA add's.

I think Noah saved the season. Guy is a beast. They pretty much run the offense through him.

D.J is solid though.

Steve Blake, the Warriors bench was horrible the first part of the season, even almost costly the Warriors games and the starters built up a 20+ point lead. Steve came in and everything smoothed out enough that the bench could be a lot more capable and give the starters some much needed rest especially Curry

Noah didn't save the bulls, trust me its DJ that did.

The Bulls needed a scorer more than anything else

Hard to Big Al this year. Didn't we should celebrate his 38/19 game instead of Lebron's 61 game?

Come on... you can't beat Andrew Bynum. He is the legend on sucking money in FA.

Steve was a mid-season trade, so as far as the OPs original question is concerned, your comment is DQ'd. That's not to say that he hasn't stabilized the Dubs otherwise paltry bench production

Al Jefferson. Before the season started, people said it was just a cash grab and that Charlotte overpaid, but he's been worth every cent. Without him, it'd be inefficient Kemba running wild jacking up even more terrible shots than he already does.

Bottom line is Bulls picked up a cheap stop gap player after rose went down and it has worked. Bobcats picked up a player to build their franchise around. Both have their advantages but I still side with big al as he changed the face and fate of the dismal franchise.

Monte Ellis, Dallas was in the 4/5 spot most of the year...
they seem to be slipping though.
I think they are out of playoffs today

Update: they have the 7 spot
