Best case to get old school/new school....

Looking to see what you guys thought of as far as getting a case, whether it be old school/new school...just as long as it's available to buy. Also, trying to keep it from $1k-2k! Mainly looking for possible money cards and maybe even turning a profit or breaking even....just wondering what you guys think!

bah...was going to say Topps Signature until you said profit/break even. I think long term it could be a great buy.

Topps Bowman 52? Might not be a bad rip, would have to check with those that broke it though as that had a pretty nice auto'd list

very hard to pull anything from old school that can make a profit since everyone wants new stuff all the time...

I would have to say take a gamble on something high end like Exquisite from 07/08 if you can find it...i only say this because Durrants cards are going out the roof and if you hit one...Jackpot Baby!!!

Long term, meaning possibly holding onto it....i just want to at least make some money back, just busted a case of Topps Jumbo and think I lost my butt...I didn't get any of those great logoman cards or laundry tags I see other people pulling.......just have to keep trying I guess.

Yeah...can't find any, but would love to try a case! I never opened any exquisite for this year....

Long term due to the autos in it (topps Signature). Great mix of rookies and Vets, but greatly overproduced and with the cards being SN'd your not likely to make any money. But just about eveyry box has one vet. But honesty, how many boxes can you honesty expect to get an Isiah Thomas, Stockton, Peirce, Spud Webb,...you get the idea. Downside, no big UD guys since its Topps.

Don't get anything upperdeck really. I think the only 2 i would suggest is exquisite and maybe SP Authentic? Otherwise... I'd try and find topps chrome, 09-10 Topps Jumbo (there are some out there... just hard to find) .. topps finest. Ther older stuff. Chrome will always hold value. The 07-08 itsn't too bad of a price for a case right now.
