Default 2014/15 Season Brooklyn Nets Thread

Well, new season starts tonight.

My guess is that Bogdanovic and $2 mil are moved for a pick in the 20's, and Billy also moves Thornton for Jarret Jack.

Should be a fun year again!

Sadly, D-Will turned 30 today

If we can move Bojan tonight, I'd do it. The Thunder seem to like him.

like the Markel Brown pick. Outside shot at making the roster, but pretty likely of him being in the D-League

Yea, I wanted that Taveras dude really badly though. Oh well, I'll take Brown.

Brown is super athletic which is what this team needs. Best case scenario is he replaces most of AA's minutes if he doesn't come back. Part of me wishes that Thornton gets swapped for JJack just for insurance on SDot

Yea, a guard who can actually dunk

Nets also buy the rights to Corey Jefferson and Xavier Thames. I like Thames, but both will probably just be D-Leaguers. Maybe one will turn into an Isaiah Thomas like find, who knows.

I think Jefferson makes the team as Blatche's spot and Jorge and Thames battle for a spot. If neither make the team, maybe European league.

Internally, it's believed Livingston is a goner. If Cleveland still wants Thornton for Jack, Billy King has to do it.

I love this trade. Replace Livingston with Jack, we have our scoring off the bench that Thornton gave us with Bogdanovic, and we get younger with Karasev.

Livingston=Jack
Thornton<Bogdanovic (should be)
Karasev>nothing

I agree, I am thrilled with this trade. After seeing the assets we got for Thronton, I wouldn't mind trading Paul to LA

Should have traded him to the Clips to at least get something. That hurts.

Was there ever a report that he was even interested in LAC? I know the Clips wanted Pierce, but I never saw anything saying Pierce wanted to go to LA. Maybe he wouldn't okay a S&T.

Washington just seems like a strange fit to me.

I agree on DC, you think they would want to develop Porter?

Yup, gotta hope they can find some mid to late round gems in the draft when they have picks.

They should still be a competitive team, it will be interesting to see if Lopez can stay healthy.

The hope is that one of Brown/Karasev/Bogs becomes a Plumlee type contributor this year. I think we will be fine, and I am expecting a 4-6 seed, as long as Brook and Deron are healthy

I agree.

Championship is essentially out of the question unless Deron decides do have a career year, KG finds the fountain of youth, Brook stays healthy, JJ plays consistently well, and AK47 becomes a 100% FT shooter

Playoffs should still be within reach no question. I can't wait to see if Mirza breaks out this year. Hopefully he does, although it would make him harder to resign lol

Alan Anderson is returning on a two year deal.

He is a decent player and a great guy to have on the bench. Glad to have him back.

Schedule released today. Only 10 games on National TV, which is good for me since I'll have to watch most on my laptop while at school

I like their coaching hire but the team is going to suck this year.

Deron Healthy? His knees are like 90 years old at this point. He is like Brandon Roy when he claimed to be healthy only to retire shortly thereafter.
