Default Well done Panini - Immaculate looks great

I'm not talking about collation.
I'm not talking about box prices or return from them.
I'm not talking about rookie logomans being numbered to 5.
I'm not talking about the 'Premium Patches' being anything but.
I'm not talking about the quality of signatures and bubbling etc.
I'm not talking about the fake scarcity of numbering every different shoe patch as a 1/1.

I'm talking about the basic look of the cards. Unlike last year's which looked cheap, these actually look GOOD. Kind of an 'Ultimate Collection' feel about them, but it's nice to see a HIGH END product actually looking HIGH END.

I commend them for that.

What I like about this product design-wise, is the use of bright team colors on the cards as opposed to empty white on sets like NT and Flawless. I agree this stuff looks very nice.

Exactly, the other products all have too much empty space.

That is one reason Flawless will fail, and fact that it is overpriced.

For the prices Panini should make everything Acetate, it makes the cards feel expensive

i think some things from last year looked better, some things from this year look better. i dont think it really matters if they label each shoe card as 1/1, i know they were thinking that the swatches look so different and theres only 2-5 cards per person so its not a problem labeling them 1/1. and labeling them 1/1 isnt really going to add much value to the card as opposed to a 1/3, 1/5, etc, the card itself provides the value, not whatever low numbering they put on it.

Yup.

IMO, this is the best looking overall set since 03-04 exquisite.

Why would anyone even bother breaking this years NT? Immaculate makes this years NT look like Topps Total..

Don't agree with this. Rookies have small patches and the best looking card, premium patches, are a complete copy of the Upper Deck ultimate collection cards.

They are not all pretty. I work with kindergarten students who can cut more evenly than a Panini employee. This card would be amazing if there was something to actually will the window. Even if they mounted the name plate letter on something it would look better. This, IMO, is gross (so is the price, but that's a different story:-P).

Exquisite never had large rookie patch windows.

Upper deck always did these types of cards much better. I think because they completely cut away all of the jersey so you were left with just the patch. Having said that, this does at least look a lot neater than what they did in last year's release.

Agree with op, this is the first release from 13/14 that I'm excited to see. Though the increased sticker autos/redemptions are a disappointment, from everything else observed so far immaculate qualifies as product of the year.

One additional minor gripe I'd like to add - as I was looking to chase this set again this year - is that the jersey number patch variations (non auto, horizontal acetate) have taken a step back, aesthetically speaking, with a weird patch window and unnecessarily thick foil accents. Just my opinion though, I'm sure cards from that set will still be hot property!

Immaculate has some beautiful cards. However, I'm noticing Nerlens Noel patch cards are part of a #8, which makes no sense.
For example...

Probably a rookie photo-shoot jersey.

Immaculate sure looks good. Like inopethflames said some were better last years release, some are better in this year's release, but I like last year's Immaculate in genereal better IMHO
But nevertheless Immaculate by far is the best release from Panii this year, Preferred and NT were a bust...

Just my 2 cents

There are some things they could've done better (some patches are ehh, sticker autos, etc) but I think overall this product is really nice! I can't wait to get my hands on some!

This Product is what defines Panini America. I see lots of good vibes on it... It is so uplifting seeing it as a hot Product...

really surprised, Immac seems like a great group break this year, nice spread with lots of potential $ cards.

Spectra was great, then Panini threw a curveball with 13-14 Preferred featuring Steve "Literally 1 Person In The World Collects Me" Mix and Dick Van "Why Would Anybody Want My Card Ever?" Arsdale, NT's legacy is ruined with it being pure basura at an average of 15-25% ROI a case then Immaculate seems pretty dang good this year. You just never know, but then again they need to get a lot of their customers back in the positive so they can take advantage of us with no lube for Flawless.
