Default Al Jefferson dealt to Utah

Al Jefferson has been traded to the Jazz in exchange for two future first-round draft picks, although the deal won't be completed until later on Tuesday.

The Jazz will use the trade exception they received from the Bulls in the Carlos Boozer sign-and-trade to sign Jefferson, which is a big coup for Utah. Meanwhile, the Wolves simply just gave away their best player in hopes of building around Kevin Love, who was disgruntled after being put on the bench for most of last season. But hey, they got Darko Milicic, so nothing else really matters. As for Utah, it sounds like Jefferson will start at center, alongside Millsap, and will move Mehmet Okur to the bench.

That is a huge aquisition for the Jazz. I am not a Jazz fan but you have to respect an organization that doesn't sit around crying after losing a star. They went out immediately and made a move.

I don't think i like this move by the Jazz, Yes they needed to get a big man but giving up two first rounders for Al Jefferson i don't believe was a good move. Meanwhile for the Timberwolves it helps them free up some room for their remaining big men (eventhough resigning Darko is a terrible move, just don't forget they have Michael Beasley) and acquiring two possible first round draft picks (possible because one the the first round draft picks are protected is not bad at all

Al Jefferson is a very good post player, and could have been amazing if he had not gone to Minnesota. At least he will have some time to get that back. Getting a top 10 low post player for two late #1s is a great deal.

Jefferson plays as much defense as the side of the backboard; a shot pretty much has to hit him in the arm for him to block anything. He doesn't rebound very well, can't/won't pass and isn't athletic. Come to think of it, his lack of effort on most nights made me want to turn off the tv. Getting a first rounder was fine, but a player in return would have been better given T-Wolves' gm David Kahn's track record for the draft so far.
And they aren't building around Love, they are waiting for Rubio. Love didn't even start most the time last season, so that point is invalid.

unless you are a guaranteed top 10 picking team in the draft every year, i dont see the sense in keeping your draft picks every year. Utah made a good move. The Nets got 3 1st round picks in return for Kenyon Martin and 2 in return for Jason Kidd, and they ended up turning that into Vince Carter and a bunch of nobodies. 5 first round picks and they have nothing to show for it lol. But thats the nature of the NBA, so much more different from the NFL. Utah if healthy just got a 22/11 guy to replace the one they lost- a considering where they pick most years, they got this guy for a bargain basement price

Pretty sure he was talking about what it cost them in terms of draft picks. Get off Jefferson, it is not his fault that the whole organization is terrible. He was great in Boston.

I guess your definition of great varies greatly from mine. Usually the great players aren't delt away with a bunch of add ons for someone else (kinda like how Garnett, a great player, was traded for Jefferson, Telfair, Green, Gomes, Ratliff and a draft pick or two.)
Keep your man love for Big Al, I'll stick with someone worth a $#!+.

What? Big Al was a beast before his knee injury. He should be back to near 100% now and put up 20 and 10 easily.
