Default Penny Hardaway Wants to Join the Heat

Laugh all you want he's not kidding. Maybe the Bulls can convince Jordan to...nevermind.

Penny Hardaway thinking he'd like to come back with Miami Heat - ESPN

Pathetic.
Dude has nothing to offer. Last time he played 4 points in 20 minutes a game? He would be lucky to score a bucket in 20 minutes now.

He even admitted his role would be minimal. Sounds to me like he's just trying to be along for the ride if they happen to win a title.

Did Little Penny tell him to get his butt off the couch?

As odd as it sounds, if the guy still has any game left, it might be a good fit. Think about it. 3 superstars that every team will key in on with their best players. Will leave a potential marginal defender on him. He could give them the JJ Redick or Gerry McNamara treatment where he could spot up, catch the ball, and shoot. I'm not a follower of the NBA anymore, so he might not be the Penny I remember when I watched. But it may actually work for a season.

He is not the Penny you used to know, trust me. Call me crazy but I think Miami will do just fine without him.

There are minimum salary guys they can get much more out of, definitely.

I was a pretty decent 3 point shooter in high school, maybe I should call Riley...

Penny Hardaway used to be my favorite player, but I'm not sure he can do this. Maybe.

Penny was awesome back in the day, along with many of the other rookies from that 93-94 season.
