My wife was showing our 9 year old son some shoes in Kohl's ad today. I said, "You should just get some Air Jordans". He said, "Who's that?"

Was playing JV basketball when the first Jordans came out. I was partial to Converse back then and my favorites were the Magic Johnson purple/yellow Weapons.

Very cool. They were such a novelty back then...

That Dee Brown contest was about two moments: the Pumps and the no-look dunk that took the victory! I think we all must remember it like it was yesterday...
