i think it will be around a 166$ per value, but all older product, and no giftcards. by far the worst promotion to date, but it will improve. its blowout and they always try the best for us end of story, but this promotion by far is not even near worth it.

I think you are way off.

I predict about 245-250 per spot EV

Adjusted for actual market value of a lot of this stuff, I'd say it comes out to about even on the price per spot.

Agree that the promotion falls quite a bit short of the others, though.

EV is lower than I thought it would be. Pretty darn low if you ask me, considering many of these products are considered "unwanted wax".

well you would figure the average should be about $200 (or just a smidge higher)...I can't imagine them doing a promo costing $200 a spot and the average return is $250...they'd be losing money on it

by the same token, if each spot was $200 and the average return was $150, nobody would buy it, so you gotta think that the average return was gonna bebetween $200 and $220

Thanks. Like I said, if this were $150 a spot it looks a lot better. At $200 over half of the list is less than exciting.

Also, $200 can get you almost anything you'd want. For me, I collect baseball so I'm happy to get a Triple Threads Box. At $150 that's great. At $200, I can just go buy it and not risk any disappointment. Sure I'm missing out on a Five Star box or one of the awesome case spots, but I also avoid getting a box of 2003-04 Basketball.

All their previous promos were like this ($200+ value for a $150 spot) because the boxes they are giving away are largely unwanted products that will rot in their warehouse.


The value per spot is inflated over market value. Like I said previously, I'd shave at least 10% off the top of that # to get a closer estimate of actual market value of many of these 3+ year old boxes.

Normally I'd agree, but the prices listed reflect Blowout's current sale price, so most of them are already discounted for Christmas.

Well considering most of these boxes are ones that I would not want to crack, I'd still shave 10% off that # for the price I could expect to get on eBay

the prices are skewed cause 10$ per spot shipping equal around 1500$ shipping for everything, thats just a quick estimate of there cost, so the plus the near 1500$ you are saying everythings worth, and that means they are taking a 3000$ loss to run this promotion since 150x199$ =29,850$.
