Babe Ruth, because he's the biggest legend in the game.

Thanks for the contest!

Default gotta be Babe Ruth

I have to choose Babe Ruth.. he transcends baseball into folk lore... his legend has been heard for decades and will continue after our passing also!

Nap Lajoie because he was a great leadoff hitter on my team in EA Earl Weaver Baseball, a video game for the Amiga in the 1980s.

Default Why Not

Nap Lajoie

Frankly I have never heard of him and feel that it would be a great conversation piece with my friends. People may have the other guys autos but I feel not many have this mans.

I would do a six cut booklet of all these guys. They might have had faults of their own but when they are on the diamond they played pure baseball with no PED or other synthetic enhancers.

I would have to go with Ty Cobb. I have a cut auto of him, but it would be sweet to give one to my dad. Thanks for the contest!

I have to go with Walter Johnson. Babe Ruth has more notoriety but also has a lot more cards and memorabilia available. Walter Johnson is such a great historical figure for the game of baseball. To still have the record with most shutouts in the game nearly 80 years later is highly impressive and a stat that is nearly impossible to find in other categories.

I think a Walter Johnson 1/1 Cut Signature card would be a highly impressive item for any collection.
Check out my Bucket!

As much as I love Ruth, I have just as much respect for the guys at premium positions.

Nap Lajoie is one of those guys. In 1901 he lead the league in RBI's AND runs as a second baseman. In 1907 he also was worth three plus wins on his defense alone.

I would have to say Walter Johnson, I wrote a book report about him in elementary school and he was the Babe Ruth of pitching.

Babe Ruth, probably the best player & hardest + most expensive to acquire.
I currently only trade for Chipper Jones.

I'd really like to own Joe Jackson cut, but not on the list.
So, I'd go with Babe Ruth since he's known to people who don't even know sports.

No question, Babe Ruth, never own anything from him either cut signature or game used cards.

If I were to create a cut I would choose Walter Johnson! I would love to have a card of "The Big Train", best pitcher ever in my opinion. Also I love that he played for the Senators since I am a Nats fan! Thanks Pastime and Blowout
