Default Wednesday Market Report

2011 Topps Jumbo BB Starting to move. Keep an eye on 2011 Topps Five Star FB. Early breaks seemed hit and miss but then the product turned higher as more breaks came out. Dealers are chasing this morning. Oval office is live Friday and Pennsylvania Ave is live today. With such small quantities out there, have a feeling both could run but keep an eye on the early breaks. It's easy to disappoint at these high price points but if the product is made well and there are $5K-$10K + hits on ebay, collectors will continue to chase it. 2011 Panini Contenders FB is a pure winner. The product over delivers with 4-7 Autos per box. Panini loaded this one up. The product is selling well at the MAPP pricing . This one may go above MAPP before the 30 day period ends.

Here's a list of products that continue to gain momentum:

2010/11 National Treasures Bskt
2011 Bowman Sterling Sterling BB
2011 Panini Certified FB
2011 Topps Chrome FB
2010/11 Panini Totally Certified Bskt
2011 Bowman Jumbo BB
Yugioh Photon Shockwave Boosters
Big Bang Theory Boosters pre sells

Jeremy Lin products in 2010/11 are finally taking a breather. Like a stock, it can't keep going up every day. Eventually you see a price point where supply catches up with demand and I think that's where we are at now. Prices have moved up on average about 75% from when he started to play 8-9 games ago. The 10/11 Bskt moves on a daily basis tied directly to each game he plays which makes it exciting to watch.

One product I believe will make a big move up in the next 3-6 months is 2009 Signature Stars Baseball. We've had this product in many of our promotions and a lot of collectors have ripped it. I don't think there is a single product out there that delivers as much for a $45 price point. 4 Hits per Box. Loaded with prospects that should come up to the bigs this year and years to come. Harper signed a ton of Auto's for this product also and if you remember back, this was the product that had all the controversy when UD lost its baseball license. It was the last of the product to get released under the Baseball umbrella along with 2009 Ultimate collection BB that year. Throw in guys like Machado, T.Bauer, G Cole, B.Brentz, K.Wong, M.Choice, N.Castellanos, D. Freese, D.Pomeranz, A.Wilkins, TJ Waltz, A.Wilkins, C.Mcgew, J.Tallon, Fu Te Ni + on and on and on... Bottom line....It's only going to take 1-2 guys to move this product higher. Very limited downside and the upside can be $75-$100+

More to come...

What is making Topps Chrome Football go up again? It wasn't a $100 box to begin with? Is it uber-rare like last years 2010-11 Upper Deck Series 2 hockey? What gives?

The Harper autos from Sig Stars are moving up already. They were averaging around $150 a couple weeks ago. I threw one up for $200 hoping to catch the ST bump and it sold yesterday. This was the /899 auto jsy version.
I no longer own any sports cards in case you find one of my old selling threads. Sorry.

Topps chrome FB is difficult to restock . I think alot of dealers are holding it til next year. We have to continually buy and sell. Certain products in 2011 were printed either in smaller quantities or had better pull rates for the top tier rookies. Topps Chrome, Inceptions, Finest, Prime and Platinum come to mind. Do a search on the case breaks for those products that came out early in the year and compare them to products that came out in the last 3 months of the year. I think you will see a differance.

When it fills, not trying to be sarcastic. My guess is #2 will fill and then they will do a third and that will be the last one unless it fills quickly. They have 3 or 4 last year.
