Monday Market Report- What you need to know:
As we mentioned last week before the release, 2012 Topps Museum BB trended up pretty quick based on the loaded content. This is the type of product that comes out surprisingly strong and then sells steady through the next few months and then moves even higher during the season. Very similar to Tribute baseball the last few years and Gypsy Queen baseball last year. Anytime a product is underordered and delivers with content like Museum, there will be a extended demand all year long as single card prices increase. Keep an eye on 2012 Topps Tier One Baseball. The product was revamped this year and could make a similar move.
2011 Panini National Treasures is also selling very well. Looks like this product will hold up at the $1600 a Case range and could move higher in the next few weeks as dealers are chasing it. Similar to how 10/11 NT Bskt was when it came out under the Panini MAPP program, the NT FB will continue to sell and then move higher as the 2012 season approaches. This could be a monster product when the 2012 season starts.
Keep an eye on a new Card game called Bushiroad Cardfight Vanguard. Alot of people are asking about it and this is in the early stages of becoming the next Pokemon and Yugioh.
2009 Products are starting to move with Both Yu Darvish and Yoenis Cespedes. Both players are in limited releases in 2009. Keep an eye on Bowman Chrome, Bowman Sterling, Ticket of Stardon and Topps Chrome. A few good starts for Darvish and a continued Hot streak for Cespedes and these few products will run.
Seeing demand for 2010 Products also hit in the last few days. Keep an eye on 2012 Leaf Best of Bskt also. Still seeing a ton of demand oversees and high end bskt always trends up once it's dry.
2012 Bowman and 2012 Topps Gypsy Queen preselling very well. Keep an eye on 2011/12 Panini Preferred Bskt. A ton of High End cards closing and this one looks like it could be a nice long term play.
Very quiet week for new releases with only 2012 Historic Autographs Champions - New York Edition coming live. Prime cuts has been pushed back till March 18th. One observation with Prime Cuts. The Mapp pricing is $250 a Box and there is a ton of interest in the product. It should sell very well but if by chance it does not deliver in content vs 2012 Topps Museum Baseball, watch for Museum to run even higher.
More to come...
