Here's what you need to know:
Topps Presell products are selling out at the factory. Last week, Topps announced that they were sold out of a few Products well ahead of expectaions. The quick sell out probably caught alot of dealers and collectors by surprise which has led to a snowball effect. Topps recently announced a few more products that are now sold out as of Monday May 7th. Here's a full list so far: 2012 Topps Series II Baseball Hobby 2012 Topps Series II Baseball Jumbos 2012 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball 2012 Bowman Platinum Baseball 2012 Topps Chrome Baseball 2012 Topps Finest Baseball 2012 Bowman Signatures Football 2012 Topps Inception Football 2012 Topps USA Olympics 2012 Topps Series II Baseball Hobby 2012 Topps Series II Baseball Jumbos 2012 Topps Tier One Baseball 2012 Topps Finest Football 2012 Topps Platinum Football Not really a surprise but even with a sell out, it still comes down to content and performance. 2012 Baseball is still centered around the Rookies & Prospects (Darvish, Cespedes, Cole, Renden ect.) and 2012 FB will be around Luck and RG3. If the players do well...products move up and selling out will fuel the fire. We expects a sell out shortly on 2012 Bowman Chrome BB next along with 2012 Topps Triple Threads BB which is highly allocated. We also expect 2012 Topps Chrome Football to sell out quickly once the product information is announced. Bryce Harper products are on fire. He seems like the real deal and this could be the beginning of a long run as products begin to dry up. Keep an eye on the following products: 2009 Upper Deck Signature Stars 2009 Upper Deck USA Baseball 2010 UD USA Baseball 2010 Bowman Chrome Redemption Packs 2010 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects 2011 Bowman Hobby & Jumbos 2011 Bowman Chrome 2011 Bowman Platinum 2011 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects 2011 Bowman Sterling 2011 Topps Pro Debut 2011 Topps Heritage minor league edition The big release this week is by far 2012 Bowman Baseball Hobby & Jumbos. As in previous years, there has been a nice run up in price for those who preordered the product. The key now is if you should break it at current levels or if you should flip the cases. It seems dealers are looking to come off some cases and there should be a decent supply to hit once the product comes live on Wednesday. There are a few very informative threads posted that break down the product and odds based on the wrapper odds. 2012 Bowman Jumbo Odds - 4-Level of Prospects/Rookie Autos As for the rest of the market, the following products are trending higher: 2011 Bowman Chrome BB 2012 Topps Museum Collection Baseball 2012 Topps UFC Knockout 2011 Topps Triple Threads BB 2012 Press Pass Rookies FB 2012 Topps Gypsy Queen BB 2011 Topps Triple Threads FB 2011 Bowman Hobby & Jumbo BB 2010 Bowman Chrome BB There are two things that we feel are as good a bet as any. 2011 Bowman Chrome Baseball will move higher in the coming weeks and if Bryce Harper really breaks out, this will be a $125-$150 Box one day. 2011 Football products will be much higher by the time the 2012 Season starts. Load up on 2011 FB in the offseason. More to come...
