BLOWOUTCARDS Market Report: Here's what you need to know

Sandy has come and gone and other then a delay with our UPS pickups, we are back to normal. UPS will begin normal operations today which includes pickup's and delivery's. For collectors who are still affected by the storm up and down the coast, our prayers are with you and hope for a safe and speedy recovery.

As for the Market, the Best selling product is still 2012 Bowman Chrome Baseball. Product is stable in the $60 range and moving very well. 2012 Topps Triple Threads BB is on the rise. Started to bottom out last week and drying up. A lot of action on 2012 Bowman Draft Baseball now that Bowman Chrome has been released. 2012 Football is still on fire. We mentioned the shift to 2012 FB last week and the trend continues even after RG's mediocre game. The following 2012 FB products are moving:

Basketball has really picked up in the past week. Makes sense with the season starting last night. It will take a month or so for collectors to really dig into products but right off the bat, 2011/12 and 2012/13 Panini products will be strong. Because of the lockout last year, the 2011/12 Rookie class was basically skipped. Similar to the 05/06 and 06/07 HK Class, The 2011/12 and 2012/13 Basketball products will have 2 Rookie Classes in 1. Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis will spur a ton of Bskt sales this year. This could be the coming out party for Kyrie. He looks to be the Player everyone thought John Wall would be but even better. This is the year to pick up basketball products. The 2 Rookie crops will give collectors a long term Bang for your Buck.

Right away, 2012 Topps Chrome Football jumps out at you. Topps announced that they have pushed back the release date to Friday Nov 9th. There is a lot of pent up demand and also anticipation for this product but it has also taken a huge run higher in the past 5 months since the solicitations hit. Topps Chrome currently looks like it will come out in the $95-$100 range. This looks to be in the top of the range as far as where Topps Chrome FB has been historically. Last years product was the big breakout for Topps Chrome FB which peaked at about $120 a Box during the Cam craze. It still settled in at around $110 a Box. There will be a lot of Hobby and Retail being ripped next week. Keep an eye on the Breaks in our Football Box Break Section...
