Just trying to run the numbers on the "possible cases"
SP LEGENDARY CUTS 200 CARD SET BASE 91 HOF 35>X 400 CARD SET BLACK FRANCHISE 40>X TOTAL AVG 7,000 @18 16,000 @20 (MAX BASE BOXES) (MAX)23,000 (AVG)11,600 100 CARD SET EXQUISITE 5>X MULTI PLAYER LINEUPS 5>X HISTORICAL BOOKS 5>X If you figure 23000 (MAX) base boxes....that would make a possible 5,750 cases/. This is is all base cards were at the max number. If you were to average those to half (400x20 and 200x18) the total would be 2,900 cases/14,500 boxes. Any ideas on what the production run on Exquisite was (ie Cases of Baskettball or Football) in the past? Very interested in the product, but just trying to figure out the logistics since there is no checklist out on this.

That confirms it...a little under 2000 cases based on the print run. Some pretty impressive cards, but a lot of names I've never heard of. Being a Cleveland native, the legendary 8 sigs of Cleveland is pretty sweet.

Yeah I don't understand how there's not an even number of cases...does that mean that there's like a single box out there without a case?? Or is there one case out there that actually will have 6 boxes, or a box with two hits? Or does this mean they are holding a few cards to themselves?

Looking at the checklist, I have to say, it's extremely complete. The most complete of any legendary cuts release they've done. Every major name is on there -- even a doubeday and a cartwright, to boot.
I went through and pruned the list. There are around 266 premium hits. And I focused on cards that would easily go for around 1K. Not just 1/1s. In fact, I deleted out A LOT of 1/1's. Let me say though, there's a nice number of ruths (over 10) and other players. No major player had less than 5 (cobb, ruth, wagner, etc).... which is extremely impressive. Overall, I did NOT include players like Ted Williams or JoeD on this, unless they were on mult-cards with other premium players. Box odds are around 1 in 35 boxes; or, 1:7 cases for one of these nice pulls. And again, I left players off like George Sisler, Nellie Fox, etc. Only Big Game, as they say. For 1K a case, or somewhere around there, a 1 in 7 chance of hitting a 4k++ card isn't bad. In fact, it's much better that the state lottery, on scratch-off tickets. This would be like returning $20.00 on a five dollar ticket; or, $200.00 on a $50 -- for those of you in the states that have it. Odds are MUCH higher than 1 in 7. Still, a large investment for five hits!
