They increased the number of players by 50% so I would assume there would be an increase in production. This assumption would also come from the success of last years product. I haven't seen any mention of relic and patch cards. I thought those were nice additions last year. Set to release at the end of November. If I thought they could keep that date I would lock in now. I thing Elite is the main competitor to this and release timing is going to be everything although I think this is head and shoulders a better value than Elite.

I will be buying this product again. I don't know that they increased the number of players though. They increased the number of "Pro Debut" player cards by 50%. I think the number of cards, at least in the base set, is still the same. I have been wrong many times before, and this is probably another one of those instances. I am only hoping this product will be as limited as the last one, but I just don't see it happening.

The base card set is the same at 100 players just like the 2006 product. However, in the 2006 product, there were just 2 parallel versions of the base card set...one was numbered to 50, and the other one numbered to 1. Now, there are parallel versions numbered to 50, 25, 5 and 1.
The Farm Hands set has a few more players in it. 68 so far as apposed to 48 in the 06 product. Not sure if there will be parallel version of the FH this year like last year. Last year the parallel versions were numbered to 25. This year there are 15 dual autos and 19 last year. All numbered to 15. The one difference that may result in equal amount of cards is that this year there is no mention of jersey or patch cards like last year's product. I could see that the increased parallel versions may make up for the lack of game used cards. Who really knows? I sure would like to know how many cases will be produced this year??? |

See if that's not what you are looking for. I agree the cards look a little cheesy but let's look at the big picture here, 10 autos per box. All the big names. My only fear is that the release date will be hijacked like last years was. If this stuff releases on Nov. 21st like it says, it will absolutely kill at those prices. I think it will be a winner again regardless. Brent and I were the only ones to take the plunge at release last year and doubled our money on an unknown product. This year the cost is a little more but people are well aware of what they are buying so I expect prices per auto to be more than last years. I wish I had more expendable income. I plan on just having one hell of a Christmas season. Tristar, Bowman Chrome football, Draft, Bowman Sterling. |

"Each 2007 Prospects Plus™ Base Card is also featured as a Parallel serially numbered to 50, 25, 5 and 1. In addition, many Base Cards feature Autographed Parallel editions, each serially numbered to 50, 25, 5 and 1. As shown below, Green Parallels are serially numbered to 50, Yellow Parallels are serially numbered to 25, Orange Parallels are serially numbered to 5 and Purple Parallels are numbered 1 of 1."
My worry here is that they don't say which of the draft picks will have auto cards in this set. |
