Exactly what I was thinking. That makes for 1/7 of the cases being sad...

Where is the difference with the design between Donruss Elite, Panini Rookie & Stars, Panini Threads, etc????

New Info Added

Panini America released images on Tuesday for a pair of forthcoming insert sets in upcoming basketball products that might grab the attention of a collector or two.
In 2009-10 Panini Threads, which arrives on Dec. 16, collectors can find signed Home and Away cards, which are diecut cards printed on textured cardboard that look like jerseys. (And, of course, they are found in Home and Away versions.)
Each of these sets features autographs signed directly on the cards, not stickers, a major selling point with collectors these days.

The latest basketball card set from the NBA’s lone licensed manufacturer, Panini America, will arrive on Dec. 16 in 2009-10 Panini Threads.
Threads will pack four autograph or memorabilia cards in each 24-pack hobby box with a suggested retail price of $4 a pack.
While Threads will include Rookie Class autographed letters spelling out several rookies’ last names, a few other inserts caught our eye — notably the Home and Away autographs and the ABA insert set.
