Advice on my team (First FF Ever) 12 Team Yahoo
I normally have not had a chance to get in the league with friends since it was always full. Guy backed out this year so I got in.

I do not like that demaryius is going against the steelers defense, and like alshon but am concerned he will not get as many targets as demaryius. also have torrey smith? thoughts and advice are very welcome, did the best copy and paste i could lol Thanks:)! |
Dang I must have a messed up team lol
|
I would start Tory Smith over Alshon
|

Thanks, alshon is sorta my sleeper pick lol...you think torrey gonna have a big year? |
Thinking about dropping Randall Cobb and picking up Kendall Wright
If I do that who would you start this week out of these guys? Demaryius, Alshon, Torrey, Kendall Wright? Thomas going against a tough D in the Steelers Alshon, not sure how much he will play, but he looked really good in preseason Torrey either has a huge game or nothing, played well against Bengals last season Kendall wright going up against a pats D that was next to last 2011 thoughts? |

I think it's possible. This is my first year of fantasy football also so you might wanna take my advice with a grain of salt lol but if it were my team I'd go with Jennings over bush and torrey over alshon for now. I have mjd on one of my teams and i'm torn over whether to start him or not. We know jennings is starting but I'm just worried mjd will have a slow start (when he gets a chance)like cj2k did last year after his holdout. Also the phins are playing the texans who have a killer d. They gave up the 31st most fantasy points to rb's last year. Also I like Romo this year, just a gut feeling he's gonna have a good year. Best of luck to ya! |
Damn i didn't read your whole first post. I didn't see you have demaryius also. That's a tough call. Of course alot of his success is gonna depend on peyton but he's a good option to have. Tough call but if it were me I'd go with torrey this week.

Yeah I started Romo over Ryan week 1 and he put up 40 points so that worked out well. I have Ryan Williams, but seattle has a good D, so I have to go with Jennings week 1 against the Vikes, he supposed to get the bulk of carries over MJD. And I have no faith in Reggie Bush against the Texans, but the dolphins may use him a good bit out of the backfield catching passes in the flat DECISIONS lol My main ? is do I drop Cobb, and pick up Kendall Wright? At least with cobb I do get some points for returns. |
Definitley dont start alshon and start torrey smith
also start rashard or demarius instead of cobb demarius lit up steelers in playoffs cant sit him |

I already used dez as my flex by accident. Now i have one WR position to start Alshon nah Torrey leaning that way or drop cobb and put kendall wright in there for my 2nd WR |

I'm not sure how much having the return man helps points wise unless he's a main target also. I picked up antonio brown in one of my leagues. I might be wrong but i think it would depend on how much time cobb gets at receiver. |

he is like packers 5th option on offense if he is even in there. |

Yeah I thought it was something like that. I try to go with whoevers on the field the most. That's why I'm torn about mjd this week. I've got marshawn in my other league and I think he's gonna be a game time decision so I put Jennings in his spot. I'm already addicted to this shiz and haven't even had my first matchup yet haha. |
I sure hope you ended up keeping Cobb with that scoring format
|
With that scoring format, Cobb may be your best player. Have fun.

Ha, he had 36 points in my league and was on the BENCH. I am still winning by 25. I also had romo over ryan and of course ryan got 48 points, romo still got 40 so cannot complain Just dropped Rashad Jennings, picked up mccluster who is listed as RB/WR. ANd i picked up dwyer as well since he looked effective and dropped Ryan Williams who looked horrible and had -1 in my league Does everyone think guys who are dual threats are the best bets with this format? I picked up mccluster thinking he could be a dual thread guy like him. Demaryius Thomas had 25 points for me, but take that huge TD away he has mediocre output. I also sat Alshon, and of course he put up 22 haha, never know |
This week
Matt ryan home against Denver Demaryius away vs falcons dez @ seattle reggie bush home against oakland demarco @ seattle Gronk home against arizona Cobb home against bears Gostkowski Houston bench mccluster RB/WR (he's not returning kicks no more right?) had 16pts last week Romo, two solid weeks in a row on the road at a tough place to play, doubt it lol Alshon, surprised a lot of people, 22 points last week, believe he is nice redzone target, may swap him with dez? Torrey, outside of one big catch he produced almost nothing Dwyer my starting lineup is projected to put up 178 points, and my main concerns are dez, and bush..your thoughts? thinking about alshon and mccluster? |
