Default Big Trade: Peyton Manning for a couple other players.

Here's my starters

Manning
D. Bowe
R. Wayne
D. Hopkins
J. Charles
R. Mathews
J. Thomas
Flex (switch in W. McGahee or B. Hartline)
Matt Prater
Def (consists of favorable matchups of waivers, usually whoever is playing Jax)

Anways he wants to offer me:
AJ Green
T. Gonzalez
CJ Spiller
D. Woodhead

He gets:
P. Manning
Probably throw in three other weak bench players to even the trade at 4 each.

At first I thought obvious No, because manning gets me 35+ a week, but if I get a QB off waivers that could get me at least 15 a week, the other guys have the potential to vault me into high scores, having Orange Julius and Prater helps as well.

Just wanted to get some other perspective.

PPR league, .20 per reception.

Personally, I'd stick with Manning

Id rather have Spiller over Ryan Mathews, as well as A J Green over Bowe...You would then have two top TEs in the league and can even flex one if you want. Woodhead has also been solid. What QBs are on the waiver wire?

good point on flexing the other TE

i was gonna post that the Gonzo add did nothing for you but i think if there is a solid QB on the waiver wire I would strongly consider moving Peyton

I have tannenhill, but there is really no QBs available. Foles, Freeman, Weedan, other qb's similar to their talent level. I was looking for a QB that could get me justa solid 15+ points a game. These would be my starters if I made the trade

Tannenhill (maybe make move for Alex Smith, he doesn't make a lot of mistakes)
AJ Green
R Wayne
D Hopkins
J Charles
Woodhead or Spiller
Julius Thomas
T Gonzalez
M Prater
Again, rotate D in and out for favorable matchups

Yikes...well you are absolutely right about no good QBs there. If you cant get Alex Smith then you are pretty screwed at QB man...maybe you can try and make a move for alex smith or another reliable QB before and if you get something done than accept it? If not then its a tough decision. Manning has been so consistent with huge numbers this season so far.

Depending on the scoring setup, at this point Peyton (who is now considered a lock for 350 and 4 every week) is worth nothing less than the best RB and best WR in the league, combined. If someone offered me Adrian Peterson and a healthy Calvin Johnson for Manning, with those QBs available ... I'd still have to think about it.

Passing touchdowns - 4pts
Rushing touchdowns- 5pts
Receiving touchdowns- 6pts

If it were 6 across the board, i'd be destroying every game by landslides.

Ah -- mine is 6 pts for all TDs, so Peyton is carrying my team.

I was gonna say, it's the same way in my league. Three years now and I still take for granted the value of the top caliber QBs with getting six points per passing TD. I've "settled" for guys like Eli Manning, Robert Griffin III and Matt Schaub the past three seasons, and as you may have guessed, cannot get higher than 5th in my fantasy league.
