Is trading 1 oz American Silver Eagle for these coins fair?
Ordered a few American Silver Eagle last week (still waiting for delivery, they sure are taking their sweet time).

I would like to trade it for either a 1 oz Panda, Philharmonic, Maple, etc..etc..

I would trade for Pandas, I think you would be trading down for philharmonic or maple leafs. Kind of just depends on how much you have invested in the ASE's

Well, I'd say Maples are probably about the same level, maybe a little lower.

Pandas would be a trade up, as would Kookaburras, but be hard to find someone to take that trade.

Philharmonics I would say would be a downgrade, but I might be wrong on that.

Anybody with differing experience jump right in. From what I've seen... on the coins you list...

Pandas > ASE > Maples > Philharmonics

Pandas typically hold a very good premium to spot. I think even now, the lowest you'll get a 2013 is in the $26 + shipping range. ASEs are wildly in demand as a recognizable world mint coin. I place Maples slightly above Philharmonics even though the Maples tend to get those stupid milk spots on them because of the cleaning agent(s) the Royal Canadian Mint uses. Philharmonics are nice but just not nearly as popular as other world mint coins. The design is rather boring, which doesn't help.

If you've got somebody trading ASEs for Pandas, take that deal in a second. Trade all you can. Just make sure the weights are correct on the Pandas. It is the most counterfeited 1oz silver coin due to popularity, though.
