Default What's the name of that magnet you use for silver

I remember it was called neo-something. I heard it is a must-have item if you buy a lot of silver on Ebay..IS THAT CORRECT. (yes I am yelling)

Yes, that is it. Take it with you to coin shows, etc. The fakes these days are GOOD, unfortunately. It won't catch everything but darn near close.

How reliable are these magnets? Reason I'm asking is because years ago I purchased a few 10oz bars off of eBay. Now a days I would never buy off eBay after reading all the stuff on here and just doing a "fake silver" search on YouTube turns up hundreds of videos of fake stuff purchased on eBay. However I also purchased some from Apmex. I ran the magnet down the bars held at a 45 degree angle and all of them where the same. So does this mean I lucked out got received real bars from eBay...I have yet to try a acid test on them but that may be my next step
