As far as coins and currency go I kind of believe that to be true. Rare cards are a different matter. If it is something that is close to impossible to find then I guess you have to pull the trigger no matter where it is on.

I was about to say the same thing. I thought I would get it from a bunch spent last year, but bullion is not included. I don't think they changed it either to be included. I would think it is because of the volume sold each day and the average prices are not low enough to warrant the 1% or more.

I also don't know if using BML would trigger ebay bucks on coins as opposed to the regular buying/payment practice

Just please be careful if you're buying 90% on feebay. There are excellent fakes on junk out there, so beware. It's only going to get worse since the premium on 'junk' has gone from virtually nothing, even under melt... to $2 to $3 premiums in just about the last year. A rare earth magnet is good to have if you are buying on feebay often. Neodymium is the type of magnet you need. It won't catch everything, but likely 99% of it that's out there.

Absolutely. There are many choices of proven reliable on line retailers for metals. Why people are so hell bent on saving 32 cents and risking getting ripped off hundreds of dollars is beyond me.

OMG! I did..I did buy 90% silver (1964 half dollar) on EBAY from a seller and I HAVE NOT tested it out with the magnet.

I didn't think people would fake those as well...lol

You can just drop silver on a table and tell if its fake. I don't see the chinese counterfeiters faking bullion. But i did read a article where they faked a 1881 GSA Morgan dollar. They used a modern US mint slab and a counterfeit coin. They mostly stick to key dates and Flowing hair dollars. At one time they were faking graded slabs before the legitimate companies made it harder for them.
