Default LF a small firesafe

as my gold & silver investment/collection has been gaining size lately i can no longer hide them under the mattress i was thinking about buying a safe with a key, i dont need anything too big or crazy just something with a lock and key and can easily slide somewhere in my house. doesnt have to have any crazy gadgets or gizmos something that would do the job. id like to spend under 50 bucks too. can anyone suggest anything?

Go to Walmart they should have one. A small safe is easily taken and can be broken open with a hammer and chisel. If your house burns down your safe will probably melt anyway. I have two Safe Deposit Boxes. A Good gun safe bolted to the floor with a high temperature rating is the best way to go. Can keep all your valuables in it.

well I live in nyc so guns/gun safes are a no-no unless your a retired cop/security or nra member since the 90s so a gun safe wont work for me, I just want to put it under my bed pretty much, if theyre that easy to break into maybe I should consider a shoebox instead.

I got a cash box with lock and key. You can get you a couple of them. I have a sub floor on one of my kitchen drawers that I hide mine under

If you own your home and don't plan on moving anytime soon then get a gun safe and bolt it to your floor. I've never heard of prohibition of safes.
